Bacon is cooked and it is yummy, it will be a topper for my green beans.

Also swept the bedroom and cleaned up the kitchen, have a nice big bowl of soapy water to stay on top of the clean up.

Potatoes turned out great and are chilling in the fridge. Swept the kitchen/hallway/office and foyer.

Got my test green beans roasting. Need to go out and sweep the balcony, that is up next, LOL, there are so many leaves in the bird bath they can hardly find the water.

Wednesday's Mission

Got most of my handyman list done yesterday, he'll be back next week sometime to replace the kitchen sink and tiles around it, I guess.

Been working on laundry for the kids. Picked up here and there around the house. Also started making Christmas decorations. I'm taking a new approach to light poles this time around and duct taping the smaller tubes together. I'm in a testing phase, not sure the duct tape won't warp or peel when it's painted, so far it's looking good. Tried every type of glue on the last set and that just didn't hold up real well.

Tomorrow is the day before a holiday, so of course, top on my to do list is freaking Costco. Doing a veggie tray and I prefer to buy fresh veggies at the last possible minute. I think we're rearranging some furniture to get ready to put the tree up this weekend, though may put that off til Thursday night. And then I plan to just finish up the last of the housework so I don't have that to worry about on Thanksgiving or when I should be decorating.

OMG!!!! I can't believe you are going to Costco, hahahahahahahaha.

I was in Safeway on Monday around 4ish and it was just awful, tons of people not paying attention, I was in line to check out and one woman's card had to be taken out and restarted 3 times! I had 5 things and it took forever.

So today I need to clean and prep the green beans, chop up the shallots, and I think I am going to make a fritta with the sausage/spinach/mushrooms.

Also want to get back on my towel rack project which leads into cleaning the bathroom. That my plan for the day.

Since I never got around to making my sausage soup, and I had the sausage and spinach, I went ahead and made a fritta/quiche with it. It is amazing how so much spinach turned into hardly anything.

Also put up my towel rack template, I am so bummed I had a spot that I wanted to put it but it won't fit! And I even measured before I ordered it, so annoying. I would have gotten a smaller one if I had known. I think before I do anything I will google and see if there is something I like better, if not I will just bite the bullet and see about putting it up.

Next up is the green bean clip and clean, LOL.

Green beans are ready to go, now to decide.....roast or blanche.

Next I think I will figure out what runner to use on the table and get down the gravy boat.

Since I have shrunk an inch, thank goodness I have the stepstool, LOL.

And I think I might make some coffee.

Costco was awful. Just people everywhere and getting down aisles was like running an obstacle course. Luckily, my list was small and though lines were long, they moved fast.

Went by the tea shop first, totally deserved the treat, lol. Also ran by the performing arts center to get my tickets for A Christmas Carol (which is next weekend.)

Next up to wash the few dishes, start dinner and the eggs for tomorrow. I'm debating doing the veggie tray tonight vs. tomorrow.

Not sure what else I'll do today.

I'm sure there is a mission for tomorrow, but it is Thanksgiving so pfft on that, lol.

So, let me share how it went... I did not enjoy my trip to Costco, they were packed, it was hectic, but at least the lines were quick. And I come back home and post about how I'm now getting ready to do a little cleaning, start dinner and the eggs.

All was going to plan til I pulled out the chicken from the fridge and saw it was still frozen. Crap that's not gonna work for dinner (thinking tomorrow night I'll bake it and use it for soup on Friday.) Anyways, around the same time I hear Dakota clearing her throat and coughing and saying she was pretty sure she needed something for her throat and sinuses otc cuz she wants to try to stop whatever crud she's working on. I'm sitting there staring at my frozen chicken leg/thigh quarters, it's 5:30, and of course Kota's feeling sorta, kinda icky cuz it's a holiday and I'm pretty sure the universe is conspiring against me. I have nothing quick to whip up for dinner, pretty sure I have no otc's for Kota's sore throat and congested sinuses and I just know I have to go to Walmart.

I was met with a Thanksgiving miracle though. Parked next door at Michaels, went into Walmart through the garden section, wandered over to the otc medicine ailses, grabbed what I needed and went back to the garden to check out. I peeked towards the grocery section and said NOPE, no way was I wading into that mess. Stopped by Del Taco on the way home and grabbed tacos for dinner, lol. I was cracking up, I really expected Walmart to be worse than Costco (and it probably would have been if I'd gone through the grocery dept to find something quick for dinner and checked out up front) and instead I was in and out in under ten minutes. And most of that time spent in the store was cuz the cashier up and wandered away from her register (she went outside, lol, dude in front of me asked me if she was coming back to ring us up?)

Anyway, after dinner, I got the devilled eggs done. I'm doing the veggie trays tomorrow.

You guys have a great Thanksgiving!

Oh, and Dipo, congrats to your sister on her new job!

LOL, you do always manage a awful Costco trip before a holiday. It's a tradition, not a holiday unless you go to Costco.

Just getting ready for Thanksgiving, potatoes are in the oven warming up, making some coffee and then I will cut the shallots for the green beans.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!
