It's Errand Day and time to assess your supplies in the bathroom and laundry room, then make a list of the items that you need to re-stock.
My morning started with the removal of the possum who taunted my kitties for several hours last night - see RN for the details.
Now I am working on a Safeway delivery and email, already complained that the paper didn't come. Plus I am tired since I kept waking up at every noise on the balcony last night.
Off to email.

It's Clean your Purse and Car Day AND time to shine your tub and sink and wipe down your washing machine and dryer.
Got the coffee brewed and cleaned up the kitchen a bit. Got the dishwasher going and the air fryer basket soaking in hot soapy water. This is why I don't want to have to cook, first it took a good hour to make my baked potato and steak and now I have to clean all the stuff used to make it. This is why I moved here! I want them to do all this stuff for me, LOL.
Oh well, Now that I know what I can do with the Air Fryer I guess occasionally making French Fries will make the Air Fryer worth the cost.
I redid my lists and just realized tomorrow is Housekeeping day so i am in pretty good shape. I took out and broke down all the boxes, also took out some trash but I need to take out the recycling and I want to change the bed today. That works well because then I can shake out the comforter for vacuuming tomorrow.
Off to strip the bed, clear email and listen to Taran.

Saturday's ... a day of fun and relaxation
I have Housekeeping today so I normally put stuff out on the balcony. Now I thought I heard some noise last night but decided it was from the TV, however, this morning I see some things are moved around! ACCCK, there is another possum!! He is in the SR curled up in the corner. So I called maintenance, the manager thought there was probably 2 of the other day but couldn't find a second, he was right!!
Anyway, I have the bathroom and living room ready for cleaning, but I found a kitty throw up that I didn't know about so I need to clean that up. And I wanted to move my bike a bit so will do that. The kitchen is mostly ready, just a few things to move - like the kitty food, LOL.
Yesterday I did manage to get the mattress rotated and the new sheets and spread put on. It looks really nice. This then meant I had to cram the comforter and sheets into the Laundry Bag, which is a bit harder than it sounds since the comforter is so big!
For now, time to catch up on Taran and email.

Whoa, Housekeeping is early!! I guess my neighbor decided not to have their house cleaned so she came to me. Thank goodness I was pretty much ready, but I was getting ready to take a nap, I am so sleepy this morning.
Oh well, maybe I will drink more coffee, and have a nap after she leaves, LOL.

Sunday ... A day of reflection and joy.
YEAH, no nighttime visitors ont he balcony but Sylvester couldn't wait to get out there and inspect. He is being much more diligent about patrolling his area, LOL.
Should be an interesting day, not much on the agenda but we have brunch outside and they will probably totally close down the dining room/living room to be ready for demolition tomorrow. They are taking down all the pony walls, yeah, so that means all the floors will have to be replaced as well.
Since all the activities now have to happen in a small room (the Theater Room) times have changed and when we had Bingo there on Friday it felt really tight so I will probably only do the $5 Bingo since it is a smaller crowd.
So I have the Newspaper, Computer Games, Taran, Brunch and then Bingo at 4pm!

I need to do some research today and don't have may chores on my list. I have cleaned up the kitchen and brewed the coffee.

It's Planning Day AND time to attack the clothes pile, either on a chair, on top of the hamper, dresser or at the foot of your bed.
I had maintenance in to remove the possum from the storage room, LOL. I finally did figure he is coming up thru the gap between the railing and the balcony floor. They are waiting for something to come, unclear how they plan to fix it.
Anyway, I fed the kitties and have let them go on the balcony now.
Yesterday I spent a lot of time researching Fair Housing and HUD to prepare for my meeting with Char'dae to tell her she is not in charge of the Resident Council. I am planning to meet with her on Wednesday.
Today I am going to do laundry and write my speech for Friday - just a review of what the RC is and how it works.
For now, it's Taran, email, social media updates and then the newspaper/tablet/yogurt.

Taran done, newspaper done, kitchen cleaned up a bit and coffee brewed.
Stinky litter rug changed out for a nice clean fresh one, then I went to chewy to see if I could get a couple of the little half circles to add to the look.
Wow, I got the one I have for $2.99, now they are twelve. I do seem to remember it was a special, so that is probably why it was so low. Now I just need to grab the clorox wipes and clean the walls of the litter boxes.
I got 2 loads of laundry going, this was my goal for the day!!
Now back to email and computer games.

Laundry done! And apparently I am going to have to have a conversation with our new manager about common courtesy.
As I headed out to get the laundry the activities manager said " I need to let you know we moved all the Resident Council stuff". I said What RC stuff?, she replies the bulletin board, suggestion box, table and chairs, to the Community Room". I said Why .... she doesn't know.
Now it looks nice where it will be, it's closer to my unit but I won't be President after September, and it is not as convenient to everyone else. BUT wouldn't it have been nice if she mentioned it to me ... She was at my unit this morning to see the possum, she could have said something then.
It's like she is trying to change everything and cause the most diruption possible. Also heard she got folding chairs for the activities area -- I swear is she trying to kill all the old people. Half of them can't get out of a chair without arms, and I can't wait until the chairs collaspe when they lean on them to do exercise.
What a stupid person, I warned her about considering her customer -- 70, 80 and 90 year olds, but I guess she didn't hear me.
Anyway I finally got the laundry and put away the hanging stuff, threw everything else on the bed. I will fold it later. Need to make some lunch!

It's Anti-Procrastination Day AND time to clean off the nightstands! Get the tissues, cups and stuff that has piled up, toss it and then dust.
So happy to have the laundry done, today I will meet with the manager, actually go down to dinner and see how that is going, and then play $5 Bingo.
For now I need to clean up the kitchen, brew the coffee and catch up with social media and Taran, LOL.

Taran done, email done, kitchen cleaned up and the dishwasher run. Also got thru a bunch of social media and played some computer games.
I decided to just email the Manager with a copy of my speech for Friday. I don't want to go to war, just lob a little info to see if she gets it. Then if I have to get more assertive about stuff I will, I just want to give her a chance. I did do a little more research on her and I think she may have been previously working in Senior Public Housing or something like that. She is totally paranoid of being sued about housing things and I did see one of the companies she worked for was accused of money laundering, LOL and not managing the properties well. So I am no longer that sure about her qualification.
Anyway, tonight is dinner at 5pm, I am going to see how that works, and how to order for tomorrow. The whole situation could have been solved by just delivering all the meals.
BUT I see all of a sudden the Bistro is not reopening until August 13, a week later than planned. I wonder what happened - I will have to ask tonight. I just looked at the order form and I imagine it is not going that well, the forms are pretty confusing.
Off to read the paper and play computer games.

It's Errand Day AND time to clear off your dressers.
It's my quiet day but I have to go pick up lunch at 12.30, and then pick up a dinner tonight, and make an order for tomorrow.
For now I am working on email, cleaning up the kitchen, running out the trash and listening to Taran.
My big task for the day is to sort thru my tank tops. I have purchase new Skinny Tees, which I love and are fabulous, so I need to clean out my tank tops. Some of them are really old so I am happy to do this task.
I pulled several baskets out of my closet bookcase (I have baskets instead of a dresser with drawers) to reorganize the clothes and see what is in a couple of them, LOL. Once I am done I think I will label everything just for fun.
I probably need to do the same thing with my socks, but one task at a time.
Off to brew some coffee and clean the kitchen.

I have Resident Council and then Bingo, then I am free for the day. Can't decide if I am going to go and get my dinner or just skip it. The menu for the coming week is awful, LOL, mostly sandwiches for dinner.
Yesterday I did manage to get thru my baskets and have a whole bin of stuff for my sister to choose from, if she doesn't want them I will put some on the free table and others on in the Goodwill bag.
I need to wrangle the cans and get them ready for tomorrow, we are taking them in and then this can project is over. I am tired of doing it so someone else can take over or we can just put them in the recycle bin.
For now off to the showers, listen to Taran, get thru the paper and clear my email.

Saturday ... a day to play ...
So we had an eventful night. The fire alarm went off at 12:05am and rang until 12:11am, was off for a few minutes and then proceeded to go off every 2- 3 minutes, 16 times until it finally stopped at 1:17am. I swear, with everything going on here I may have to look for someplace else to live. It is annoying and I think the new manager is in over her head. She told us yesterday that we would be having monthly fire drills, said this was normal in a regular apartment building !!! I have lived in many complexes and there have never been fire drills, much less monthly.
Anyway, more on the Resident Councl meeting later but today I my sister is coming over. The cans are gong to recycling and I told everyone at the meeting yesterday, no more cans recycled by me. I gave them the address of the recycle center.
Then we will go out to lunch/breakfast and I want to get some new kitty grass, some potting soil and a faucet thingie, LOL.
For now, email, newspaper and yogurt.

Sunday ... a day for peace and quiet ...
Wow, I really overslept probably because I was tired from the all the alarms the other night.
My sister and I got the can dealt with, $34, then went to breakfast. It was nice to have a "real" burger and fries instead of the hamburger they make here, LOL.
Then we went and got my faucet thingie!!! It is so cool, it looks like stainless steel so it matches the sink. You pull down on it and it makes a spray that you can then twirl around the sink to clean it. I am so happy. Also picked up some potting soil to do a little remake on my balcony plants but that is for another day. Then we swung by and picked up some new kitty grass - saves me a $5.99 delivery fee.
Finally home and my sister got to take all the xtra plastic bags, cat food and other stuff that I had gathered for her.
Now I am off the read the paper, have some yogurt, etc.
Oh, I forgot. I made my spice cake yesterday. Realized that I had given away all my baking pans so I used my stew pot and it turned out great, LOL.

Finally ... I have been trying to pay my Kaiser bill since yesterday! It keeps telling me that my password is wrong and to request a reset and then go check my emial and I never get an email. So after several tries yesterday I gave up.
Working on my chores for today and I am doing financial stuff so I thought I will try again to pay Kaiser. OMG, it worked, I finally got a reset email and was able to pay the bill!.
Off to balance bank accounts and figure out my bills for August.

It's Home Blessing Day AND time to clear the hotspots in your Living Room and or Family Room! Gather everything that doesn't belong there and put it where it belongs.
I cleaned up the kitchen, almost out of kitty plates so that is done, the dishwasher is running, I cleaned out all the old food from the fridge so I can see what I have to eat this week (I don't like most of the dinner options) and I refilled the water bottles.
I have been working on a spreadsheet of apartments to consider, I think I can save a bunch of money and get a washer/dryer in unit. I am thinking of moving in November, that is when the rent increases come out, and if they change much else here I will be ready to go. Sell some stock, hire the movers and go.
Anyway, back to now, mostly office stuff on my list now that the kitchen is done. I have a pile of things in my inbox and I need to do the minutes before I forget everything, plus I should finalize the Newsletter so I can get it out early.
Off to clear email, catch up with Taran and social media. Oh I did get both bank acct's balanced, not really a big deal, still need to do the calculations for paying my bills and transferring funds.

I got the kitchen cleaned up, trash taken out, dishwasher unloaded and the coffee made.

I actually went to 7pm Bingo and I won twice!! Then came home to catch up on TV and BB. Then my friend who had the heart issue called to see if I wanted to go to Krispy Kreme for a donut at 10pm. I leapt at the chance since it will only be the second time we have been able to get together since May.
Well Krispy Kreme has changed their hours so they close at 9pm now, darnit. We ended up at Jack in the Box and I had some onion rings! They were so good, I haven't had any in years, LOL. She did say she is finally going to move back home (has been staying with a friend all this time because she didn't feel safe alone) this weekend. Finally !! we will be able to have normal conversations and get back to some lunches/dinners out as she continues her recovery.
So far I have gotten the kitchen cleaned up, gotten ready for my haircut, and put together my list of stuff that the apartment Manager needs to work on instead of the stuff that isn't broken that she is working on.
Now I am working on email, my office pile, watching the Finale of Destination X and then Taran. Busy, busy, busy. Also doing my lazyfit while I watch the show.

It's Errand Day AND time to go sofa and chair diving, dig through the furniture and pluck out the cheerios and old socks.
It's quiet day except that I have to go out and grab my dinner at 5:15; other than that no other plans.
I want to work on my balcony, give some plants more soil and water everything - inside and out. I should also finalize the Newsletter and maybe get started on the minutes.
For now I am listening to Taran and grabbing the paper and some yogurt.

It's Clean out Your Purse and Car Day AND time to clear the hots spots in the Front Porch, Entrance and Dining Room. Get rid of the pile of shoes by the front door, get rid of the pile of junk mail and put away the magazines and papers that are piled on the dining room table.
I got the coffee brewing, cleaned up the kitchen and took out the trash. Now listening to Taran while I deal with email and get my list together.
I have Bingo at 2pm, need to do my lazyfit app and I have some "hot spots" that need to be dealt with. Also time for the Summer Flag instead of the 4th of July Flag.

Won twice at bingo and took the big one ... Blackout $6.60; I did my lazyfit before I went and got the new summer flag up.
Went out and grabbed my dinner, the salads were good and it was chocolate mousse for dessert. That was how it was billed but I think it was just Chocolate Pudding. I know Adrian (chef/manager) said they had a bunch of boxes of pudding in the back let over from the former chef. I had told him the people here love pudding and he should serve it more often, LOL.

Saturday ... a quiet day for fun in the sun ...
A nice day at home, got the kitchen cleaned up and the dishwasher run. Broke down the chewy boxes and took out the newspapers, some trash and the boxes.
I ordered some glass food containers since I seem to be cooking more things and apparently have given away all the medium size bowls, LOL. I have plenty of little containers but now medium or big ones, so those are on order.
Oh, did I mention I ordered these funny little fans that you can plug into your phone to run and give you a little breeze. They cracked me up, I hope they really work, can't wait for them to come.
For now just clearing email, playing computer games and watching murders on TV.
