LOL, the sun must be at a different angle today, the kitties are unhappy with where the sunrays are falling and can't lay in them. Hopefully the sunrays will shift soon.

Nala found the sun on the balcony chair- it is cold out there, Sylvester just gave up, hahahahaha.

Saturday ... It's Haircut Day ....
YEAH, my hair has been driving me nuts, it is too long in front and on top, I don't worry about the length since I wear a pony-tail most days.
So I cleaned up the kitchen and got the dishwasher running, called to check on my sister and called to confirm my haircut partner. We are doing cuts and then going out to late lunch/early dinner.
I sorted thru my kitty treats and cans of food they won't eat and made a bag to take to my hairdresser. She can either keep stuff for her cat or give it to
"Taco", the bar cat at the Moose Lodge.
Took out the newspapers and recycling.

Sunday ... A Day of Rest ...
Exhausted from the big Haircut event, LOL. My cut was at 2pm, then my friends was next. Afterward we planned to go to dinner with the hairstylist, also my friend. In the middle of my cut, Friend A got a call that Sooz (her sick in AZ with a heart surgery MOM) might be ill and need to go to the emergency room. So off she went to deal with that and Stylist Friend and I headed for Mexican food.
Had a great late lunch/early dinner with margaritas, enchiladas, excellent bean dip and chips and a lovely conversation. We haven't really had time to catch up in ages. Just as we paid our bill and were about to leave Friend A calls, false alert are we still at dinner -- yes come on down.
So we order a couple more margaritas while she enjoys her meal, LOL. Some more really good conversations and 4 hours later, we closed down the restaurant at 9pm.
Finally home, sated and tired from a wonderful day!
So now I will be relaxing all day! Bingo a 2pm and that is it. I have been working on the paper and had a very nice brunch.
Off to clear email.

It's Home Blessing Day AND time for the Master Bedroom, today spend 15 minutes under your bed! Take this time to get the things out from under the bed that you have shoved under there and put it where it velongs.
Since I didn't do much yesterday I had a few kitty food dishes to clean, they are soaking. Got the dishwasher unloaded and put away while the coffee brewed.
Made my list for the week, did a Safeway order for noon, and have beeen working on emeail.
I have Bingo at 2pm and then need to talk to the manager about my rent increase.
Off to email and maybe I will see what is up with twitter, haven't been there in a while.
Oh, and our internet is back, LOL.

Yeah!! I won two Bingo Gamees ... made almost $8! We had a big crowd today.
Before Bingo I got my Safeway order put away and dealt with the bags. Was going to meet with Terry on my rent increase but I forgot they were having a meeting with Sodexo today. So I will do that tomorrow.
Off to clear email and Bluesky.

It's Planning Day AND time to spend 15 minutes getting rid of anything that does not belong in your bedroom. Things that have gotten thrown in a corner, on a chair or even the floor. My bed is on the list for today... rotate, vacuum, Febreze, then new sheets.
Also have a few other things on the list - some banking and I have to get the balcony read for the next few days of rain. So far I have cleaned up the kitchen, hauled out the compost and trash, then cleaned the compost bin.
Now working on email, bluesky/threads, maybe I should take a look at twitter.
Off to email.

Email done and I remembered to pull up Threads for a perusal.
Started working on the bed, got most things off, changed the pillowcases and then pulled out the vac. This led to trying to remember/find where the attachments for it might be. Normally the bag would be hanging around the neck of the vac, but not there.
So I took some things out to the balcony and searched the storage room - not there. Thought maybe in the drawer of the file cabinet - not there, but I noticed the front detailing on the drawers was very dusty so I got the pledge. Then I noticed that the arms on the sofa were dusty as well, so that has all been dusted. Still haven't found the attachments, couple of other places to look but I was hungry.
So I have taken a break to have some lunch. Hunt and bed stuff will continue soon.

Mattress rotated, sheets on even with the help of the kitties, just putting the final touches -- comforter, pillows and we can just relax.
Oh, I did order a copy of the dental insurance plan that my dentist offers, I want to see if I should join and cut the cost of some of the things I have to do next year.

It's Anti-Procrastination Day and time to wipe down your light switch plates and your doorknobs to your bedroom. This is a good one, I will add it to my list, LOL.
Today is the big day, they put a huge projection screen up in the living room and Sodexo is coming to make a presentation on "The Bistro". Everyone is quite excited because they think it will solve all the food issues that they have. Most have not figured out that they will likely receive less food for the same money. Currently we get 4 items at dinner, soup - salad - entre w/2 sides and dessert. I suspect the new service will be entree with 2 sides, pay extra for soup/salad, maybe they will include dessert as part of the dinner. We shall see.
I like the food, some here don't like how the chef prepares the food, but I eat to live, I don't live to eat and don't expect restaurant quality food when he is cooking for 150 people a day. It tastes good, is filling and I don't have to prepare it.
Plus if I don't like the dish, I don't' eat it! Sometimes I think these people live to complain. Ok, rant over, LOL.
I have town hall meeting at 11:45, Bingo at 7pm, so time in between to do a few chores.
For now off to read the paper, have some yogurt and play some games.

Very interesting meeting, everyone had lots of questions on how it would work for them individually which definitely delayed the ability to get all the information out.
They didn't have answers on whether delivery would be available, right now they get it for free, it should cost $15 for delivery. And as I suspected it will be less food at the dinner meal, still sufficient amount but you have to pay for dessert. That is not going to go over very well when they realize it.
They did hand out a sample menu with good options, I haven't been concerned about the food, and they will charge less for residents and more if you want to have a guest. It should be interesting to see how it works out, there is some "upgrading" that has to be done and they have to make the serving counter ADA compliant. They want to bring in a bunch of technology which might mean Carlton has to upgrade their WiFi, so we shall see.
I totally forgot we need to distribute the minutes and agendas, but I got them read to go so they can go out tomorrow.
Now I need to get thru email and my normal things for the day. I was going to talk to the manager about my rent increase but she will be busy with all the people who want to know how this will work for them, so I will try tomorrow.

So the rain finally came, I did end up bringing all the towels (that the kitties lay on) and the chair cushion into the house this afternoon. Got the can bag covered up so it doesn't fill up with rain water and took up the welcome mat and hung it over the chair.
Next up is Bingo and I did get thru email, Bluesky and Threads. Did a quick look in on Twitter.
Back to computer games.

It's Errand Day AND Set your timer for 15 minutes and focus on the "stuff" that is hanging around in our bedroom that need to be put away.
It's quiet day, yeah, so I don't have to do anything. There is no bingo, no meetings, nothing! So I may or may not get much done today.
I did clean up the kitchen and I got the new brita filter soaking so I can change that and then refill the water bottles.
For now I am enjoying my coffee and clearing email.

I made a small pot of pinto beans, they turned out fabulous! And I enjoyed the afternoon watching HGTV shows.
Just cleaned up the kitchen, got the bean pot soaking. Oh and I changed the Brita Filter so I was able to refill all the water bottles.
Watched Dr. Odessy -- was cracking up and really enjoyed the music with the drag performer. Then I watched Tracker, so I am all caught up on the missed shows.
Guess I will see how the goofy CBS Christmas movie turns out.
