Season 20 starts June 11. There are so many side shows that I only watch the main one now.
According to the premiere synopses, Jake has lost the Saga and he joins Sig and the Northwestern as the co-captain.
Plus, they are back to derby style for King Crab! That will be a lot more fun. It's more like a race.

Scared the crap out of Keith, too!! Good thing they had installed that system they could use and also that they were able to pull out the young man down below.
And what is with people literally stealing Sig's pots off his boat.. I was happy that they were retrieved!

They stole Sig's pots because Sig stole their usual boat parking spot. But it was all a contrived situation for the camera.

I was sad to read this. I didn't realize Nick had sued Sig for not having adequate medical care benefits for his crew.

They have always stressed that this occupation is high risk in general and almost all of them also exhibit lifestyles that put them at more risk, but no one was prepared for a pandemic at all levels of government, though that was made worse when Trump threw out the pandemic plans put in place by Bush and Obama.
The articles don't make clear what the Hansens failed to provide medically and then what the producers had failed to provide medically during the pandemic.
All rather sad for sure.
I guess I never realized that Jake was related to Nick.
Those articles mention Jake as captain of the Saga at that time, but this season has him having lost the Saga and Sig taking him on for the first part of the season but meanwhile Jake's wife found him a gig which has him leaving Sig in the lurch.
What a high stress situation all around!
Yes, so much is shown for tv drama.

Naja, no worries. I was surprised at your post because I had tried to look for updates on him after the first of these two episodes. There are no articles about it, but the Facebook and Instagram (where he is doing public appearances) were my only clues.
