lol Naja --- didn't even notice it. The book show stopper was great. So many bakers fail the Battenberg cakes. I used to love those.

Back to The Trust. I did not see race as being an issue. If the editing was true, the major aggressor on the show was a very outspoken black woman. If I am wrong about microaggressions, please show me where so I can learn. Always open to having my eyes opened.

Christy, it's been a while since I've watched The Trust so my memory is a little bit rusty on this but if I remember correctly it was unfair for them to call him every name in the book because if I remember correctly for the first 5-6 boots he didn't vote out anyone. And as far as the black woman who was booted, didn't everyone vote her out?

The microaggressions were the constant reference to the woman being “African”. It’s like saying black teen when if they were white, it usually is only teen. No justification to constantly reference someone’s race or ethnicity even if the person is proud of it. Also, even I take offense when people say Africa/African instead of the actual country..like she was Nigerian descent.

She came in wearing Africa shaped earrings and had more than one style. In her first sit down on camera she showed them off and said she was very proud of where she came from. I think he kept saying Africa because she said it. Anyway, it was an interesting show. Not sure it can be repeated because people can plan for the games and think ahead of time what to say.

I started S3 of Lincoln Lawyer and it will take me a week to finish it since I'm working. A friend of mine binged the whole thing on Friday and said it was "intense."

Season 3 will be back to eight episodes, thank goodness! But how long do we have to wait for it! I don't want to type cast but Keri Russell really is awesome in these political thriller series! The Diplomat doesn't compare to The Americans but boy is it fantastic to watch. Binged Season 2 in two days, cant wait for Season 3!!

The Remarkable Life of Ibelin is a MUST watch. Get the tissues out early on - not only one of the most moving, empowering stories in recent times - including the power of online communities, but also the documentary itself is a masterpiece production we rarely see. and frankly - it reminds me of how much of a family TVCH is for so many of us in the last 20+ years even if we never see any one in real life.

following up on my comment above - here is a more extended commentary in a blog post i wrote yesterday about The Remarkable Life of Ibelin. “In there, my chains are broken.” How a Film Shows Purpose and Humanity Within Online Gaming How much do we know about the people in our lives? How many times do we come to conclusions about something without seeking out the actual answer? The Remarkable Life of Ibelin, a documentary released on Netflix last month, gives us a glimpse into the life of a young man with a terminal illness, and how impactful online communities can be.
