More gender bias, if anything.

I was pointing out the noms being majority POC. That fact cannot be whitewashed.

I agree Keldogg. I don’t know what it would take to get more POC on BB. Are they not applying, or is it the casting people? I would like to see older people too, with a history and backstory. Not all these influencers.

Its the casting. You can bet on it every year. 1 gay, 1-3 POC, 1 "older" person, 3-4 blonde white girls, 4-5 white preppy jocks, 1-2 "quirky" people.

Kellogg, I disagree with you. It can be 3-4 brunettes😁 seriously you are correct. They love to go for eye candy for both sexis. I would love to see more POC and nobody younger than 40. Let’s real people in the house. Everybody should be also a little over weight. Let’s mirror society.

I'm not sure what you mean when you say "whitewashed"?

So was the vote to evict Da'Vonne racially motivated?

I think Davonne made it so

sometimes casting combines the gay qualifier w/the POC distinction, so you get the gay POC houseguest (cast 2 diversities with one stone), which while cool in some ways, is also sorta problematic in other ways in respect to gay-POC stereotyping

("queer" in the most positive sense of the word) btw, who were all the LGBTQ houseguests throughout BB history?

Did y’all read about Paul Abrahamian recently asking to be called by the non-binary pronoun “they?”

There are so many past houseguests: Bunky Audrey Marcellus Jason Roy Vanessa Natalie...plus “all the rest!“ and weren’t Lydia and James both saying they have slept with both sexes?

Just an aside, I saw an article that Paul Abrahamian is now identifying with "they" pronouns.

What does that mean to change his pronoun?

Thanks Karuuna So is Paul indicating that he doesn't always identify as a man?

Paul is leaving a bit vague, but I would presume that: While Abrahamain has updated their bio to reflect the change and confirmed to fans they are now using they/them pronouns, they have not spoken out about their gender identity. Rather than release a public statement, they appear content to let word spread on its own while maintaining their privacy. https://www.out.com/celebs/2020/9/24/big-brothers-paul-abrahamian-updates-pronouns-social-media

I'm sure that I'll get used to it but I still think of "they" as plural. So when I read that "they did something" I still expect it to be more than one person.

Jimmer, I had that same problem and then I then it clicked for me that male and female together are plural.

Well, Paul IS a very small man. I thought Michelle was married to a man when she was on Big Brother.

Juju, she was, but she is bisexual. It seems that after BB she let loose. She ended up doing some Playboy reality show.

So happy that Da’Vonne won America's Favorite Houseguest. It says a lot about what Americans saw and felt as we went through this rollercoaster of emotions this year. This gives me a lot of hope for the future of Big Brother. Hopefully they will embrace diversity next time.
