Yay! I have a phone appointment set for April 11th. I was hoping we could get it done today, but no such luck. I'm happy enough with this.

I thought I had posted this already, but I don't see it. I found out even though I become eligible for my survivor benefits on June 12, I don't actually get my first payment until third Wednesday in July no matter how early I apply. So there's one more month to worry about than I thought.

Yes, payments are always made one month in arrears, unfortunately.

I have a tenant coming to view a room this afternoon and of course my vacuum breaks But that's not the complaint. This is. I loved this vacuum and I went to Amazon figuring the same model would be even less 5 years later. NOPE! April 14, 2020, I paid $329 for the Shark AZ1002 on Amazon.
Now it's $599 !!!! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FX5PCMN Thank goodness I have a spare older model until I can get a newer one.

Probably. We do have a vacuum repair shop nearby.

Who knows? Maybe when you go there, they may have your vacuum there for sale, close to the price you originally bought it for. You never know...

Naja, Amazon must be scamming everybody or something. Maybe they're including tariffs in their prices already. It doesnt make sense. I put your model in Google and hit the shopping button. They're coming up between $250 to $350 on there at places like Best Buy and Walmart, etc.

RN Well, my neighbor had texted me a week or so ago that he would be trimming the trees hitting my house this weekend. It must have been a dream because as far as I can tell, the weekend is almost over and no one has trimmed any trees.

Yes, it's very hot once it gets to the afternoon, in the 90s. But until about 11 AM it's tolerable.

Well, I was wrong. He came by and cut one little branch and decided it was too big of a job for him. He texted he'll hire someone. He thinks it's just the one little branch that bothers me? Jeez. I finally have had enough of being too nice and just sent this: "I think I have to say this. Rocky, it looks so bad back there. It has since shortly after you moved across the street. People actually ask me if the house is abandoned when they see the back. It's just miserable coming outside and seeing it every day. I am so sorry for having to say this. ☹️"

It's so defeating to have neighbors who don't care for their yards. I am next to one too. He had someone come cut some branches for him and 6 months later the branches still lay there. I see him have "orkin" come out for pest control and I want to tell him that all the dead debris is a great breeding and housing place for mice and black widows!

Here is what he sent back: "I'm sorry it looks the way it does. It's my daughter-in-law's responsibility and am trying to work with her to get it done. I think Andrew is going to hire someone to do it. " ---- Andrew is his son who is divorced from the slob in the house and he doesn't live there.

I halfway suspect hell will freeze over before Andrew cleans up the backyard next door.
