I happened onto Brilliant Minds by accident and watched the first three episodes. It is interesting, don't love it, don't hate it. Is "face blindness" even a real thing?

I loved NCIS New Orleans, perhaps because I spent the first 20 years of my career in the deep South and came to love those who spoke with that soft, polite, southern accent, and especially those from Louisiana with their very heavy accents. And I learned that Cajuns really did roll up the carpets and dance in the parlor or the kitchen on a Saturday night. Or at least those of my age grew up that way. I also came to really enjoy NCIS Hawaii, where I lived one summer of my young adult life with my girlfriend and her mother and their friends, all Hawaii-born and lived all of their lives on Kauai.

yes. I have it partially. I don't recognize people when they are not where I expect them to be. Like I knew coworkers in the office, when I was in a grocery store someone came up and poked me, I screamed and got ready to hit them, did not recognize the guy who sat next to me out of the office until he spoke, I do recognize voices.

Juju, it absolutely is a real thing! In fact the reason I love the show is that all the conditions they diagnose are real things! That's why I found neuroscience to be so fascinating. A great, fun, and easy to read book is called "The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat" by Oliver Sacks. And yes, the title is a true story! There are additional patient anecdotes that are very surprising (like the patient who couldn't recognize her own leg, and kept insisting that someone else's leg was in her bed). One of my favorite nonfiction books ever!

Whoa!!! Thanks, Sadiesmom and Karuuna. I had no idea. Then this television show is timely. I will watch it until it ends. And pay attention.

Reba McEntire's new sitcom on NBC had a pretty good premiere. I'm definitely sticking with it. It's called "Happy's Place" and she plays a woman who inherits her dad's little bar. It's on Friday Night. btw, my current fav sitcom is on right before it. "Lopez VS Lopez".

I think all of the high potential shows were repeats?

Yep, they were all repeats, my TVGuide lied, LOL. I did enjoy watching them when I finished the Holiday Baking Challenge. But had I known I probably would have watched Brilliant Minds.

High Potential -- that was a tense one! I like my murder mysteries to be more entertaining than intensee and scary but they did a good job with it. And Morgan didn't give the woman any slack since she endangered her child. I kept thinking the male perp was on drugs or something because his behavior was so erratic. Pretty funny that they got her a desk she won't use, LOL.

It was a great episode! I think the male perp was suffering from PTSD. The behavior aligned with that, the paranoia, the erratic thinking, etc.

Looks like "High Potential" is taking a break. According to IMDB the next 4 episodes air in January. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt26748649/episodes/?ref_=tt_ov_epl

Yeah, I saw that at the end of the show. Next one is January 7 I believe. The tv seasons used to be more predictable. Now each show goes off and on at will it seems.

Has anybody else watched the new sitcom St. Denis Medical on NBC? It has 2 of my fav ladies on it, Wendi McLendon-Covey and Allison Tolman. It's about a small underfunded hospital in Oregon and it's filmed like a fake documentary, like Modern Family. I guess like The Office, too, but they were really making a documentary. I enjoyed it a lot and it's pretty funny, but the characters still have to figure themselves out, but that just takes time. I'm already hooked after 2 eps.

If you're a Billy Bob Thornton fan, he's got a new show starting this Sunday on Paramount channel and Paramount Plus called "Landman". It looks darn good! Set in the boomtowns of Texas, Landman is a modern tale of fortune seeking amongst roughnecks and billionaires in the world of oil. Starring: Billy Bob Thornton, Ali Larter, Michael Peña, Jon Hamm, Demi Moore https://www.paramountplus.com/shows/landman/

The first 2 eps of Landman were good. Billy Bob is doing his character a little over the top, but it feels like the same character he always play. LOL Good thing I like the character he always plays
