I didn't realize they split Magnum P.I. up into two seasons so what we are seeing is the back half of what they filmed last year so I guess it really is canceled. It's all good. I set my DVR and will enjoy the last 10 episodes.

Aha! And now I remember being mad when the last season was so short. Bumping this thread to remind myself to visit peacock.com later this week to catch Magnum, the final episodes.

I didn't even realize "SurrealEstate" was back! The first 2 eps of season 2 are in on-demand and the next new ep is Wednesday on SYFY.

I just watched my recording of the season premiere of Penn and Teller: Fool Us, and they replaced Alyson Hannigan with Brooke Burke! YUCK!

This was taped awhile ago, so I don't think it's because of DWTS.

Did they have these things already filmed before the strike? Or are they writing the episodes and taping them now?

I think these are new episodes that weren't filmed at all, as the strike began around the time filming usually starts. So they've had a few weeks with writers already, now they get the actors, then with post production - and I guess a few weeks off for the holidays - we get February premieres.

I read that the new show, The Irrational, isn't on anymore as they ran out of episodes. That was meant to be a summer show, so they'd started filming before the strikes. They aired the seven episodes filmed, and we have to wait for the remaining three. I think they'd have done that with more shows if they could, everyone would have loved a lit bit of new tv.

NCIS Sydney - I'm just going to say it. I don't like it, especially the lead actress. I can't pin down why but it just doesn't work in my opinion. Mind you, I have loved each new cast member of the original and I continue to watch the reruns while waiting for the new season of it. This version? Nope

Kappy, I'm with you about NCIS: Sidney. There's something about the lead actress that is annoying. The whole format/premise isn't working. I can't decide whether or not to stick it out or just delete from the DVR.

Mary & George

This 7 ep series will debut on STARZ in 2024 and it stars Julienne Moore and Nicholas Galitzine....Nicholas played the gay prince in that movie red White and Royal Blue. It looks hot and fun to me, especially since it's based on a real story. :-)

Maris, I recently learned that I am descended from Scottish royalty, but in a way that doesn't give me a title because it stems from a "bast***" baby that was the result of a dalliance between the king and a "not his wife" commoner.

To top that off, one of the main characters in this series is the grandson of the dallying king in question. My sis, (to whom I also recommended this upcoming series) just sent me an email that said:

"The trailer looks good! I did watch Red, White, and Royal Blue and liked it!
So…interesting fact….King James VI of Scotland and I of England (same person) is the grandson of King James IV of Scotland…who we are descended from! I’ll definitely watch!"

Did anybody else watch the new Jon Cryer sitcom called "Extended Family"?

I think it has potential. The first episode didn't get good reviews, but I find the first few eps almost every sitcom to be awkward until the actors get their grip in the characters.

"Jim and his ex-wife, Julia, describe the day they got divorced as the happiest day of their lives, as they are still close friends and committed co-parents to their two children. Then, Julia's job as a public relations expert introduces her to Trey, who not only becomes her fiance but also happens to be the wealthy owner of Jim's favorite basketball team. As their unconventional family continues to evolve, Jim, Julia and Trey learn to navigate life, love, parenting and every awkward situation in between."

NBC Tuesday nights.

It looked interesting from the previews, although I haven't watched it yet. I'll give it a try.
