Miz, that episode had me laughing so hard! The actress, Edi Patterson, is one of the stars of The Righteous Gemstones, another bizarrely funny (though darker comedy) show. I agree, there had to be lots of bloopers!!

Last week's episode was so funny. this weeks was more serious and almost had me tearing up! This show is just so, so good.
How had he not been nominated for an Emmy for this???

Yikes, thanks for the reminder that I might be behind in watching this. I think I watched the first two episodes and felt totally lost with the characters, especially the children, who are now outgrowing their roles.

I have a question and a friend of mine who also watches the show is confused about something.
I don't understand how the aliens have that woman's baby. That whole storyline isn't making sense to us. Someone please explain this to me like I'm 5-years-old.

We definitely need another season. I love this show so much!
Well, I don't have a great memory, but at one point wasn't the woman pregnant and then she lost the baby? so the aliens took the baby and incubated it and have been taking her regularly to nurture the baby.

Could be Brenda. I just don't ever remember her being pregnant on the show (and neither does my friend who watches the show).

I remember her telling the other women she was pregnant in a bar once, early this season. Then she found out she wasn't, and I think we have to assume she thought it was a miscarriage.
Lexie, it's kind of a trope that when aliens pull you up into the space ship they experiment on you and take your babies. She was actually pregnant, either naturally or perhaps as part of the aliens' experiments they gave her hormones or whatever to make her get pregnant. The baby would have been the husband's and when it got to whatever size it is that the aliens can manage it, they removed it from her. Who knows exactly how, as they have alien technology! Maybe they sped up the process in the few hours they had her one night, or maybe they extract an embryo and grow it in a box, I don't know. But they grew the baby, took it, and she didn't know because they then removed her memories of it.
I thought the finale seemed a bit rushed, which might actually have been the case if they got a shorter season than they expected. I did gasp when the boy saw the other alien though!! Plenty of reason to do another season, even if it's another short one.

Thanks Kitt. I swear I don't remember her telling anyone she thought she was pregnant or having a pregnancy test. Was that the "first half" of this season that we watched last year? It was so crazy to me that they split up the season with a months-long interval.

Looking at the wikis, it was the first half of Season 2 when Kate thought she was pregnant, and then later discovered she actually wasn’t. And that aired Jan-Mar 2022, so it’s no wonder it’s hard to remember the details.
Btw, second half of that season was Aug 2022, so there was a whole 18 month gap between that and the Season 3 that’s just finished.

Oh yeah... you're right. S2 is the season that was split up. That would explain why I didn't remember Kate's pregnancy being as it aired two years ago.

I think it was easy to forget not only because it was so long ago, but it also seemed like a weird one-off and a very minor storyline -- soo good for them on planting that seed long ago so that the current season would make sense.
