Good heavens, it's already 1:20 AM and we're in the 17th inning! The World Series that never ended....

Yes, what a game! 6 hours & 39 minutes, 18 innings, Will Klein’s outstanding pitching and Freddy Freeman’s walk-off home run.

Yes that was crazy but fun! Both teams made some great plays and neither wanted to give in.

Good win and the game ended at a normal hour. Bonus! However, I get how Ohtani is a great player and doing things no one else has done, but the play by play by Fox was like they were crowning him. It just went on and on….ad nauseum. I had the feeling that the announcers thought the Dodgers were going to just roll over the Jays. After the game, when the Studio guys were talking with Vlad, either Jeter or ARod asked him about going into the Jays locker room after losing in 18 innings. Like did someone speak up to rally the team? He sad it was very somber, no one talking. He talked to the team, they must have known that it was him who spoke up, said it’s only 1 game and there’s still 4 games. Basically, not all is lost. They put some music on and the mood lightened. Not sure every team could’ve done that. It was a good bounce back.

And it's pretty cool that no matter what, the Jays get to play at home for the end of the series.

It is. Before the series started, I was worried about the Dodgers sweeping or a five game series ending in L.A. They’re such a powerful team and they were on a roll. So this has been fun!

Yeah Jimmer, the Jays continue fighting for this series, they played like they wanted to win. I don’t know where the Dodgers were tonight. They were flat. Dave Roberts did switch up the line up tonight and I wonder if that affected their efforts.

Yay for Jays! Woo Hoo! That was such a fun game. How cool was it that only after 3 pitches, the Jays were leading by 2! And then that crazy wild pitch inning. So fun!

It’s almost like winning an 18 inning game made the Dodgers overconfident or something. It was a fun game to watch. Just 1 more.

Kooklie - I think the Dodgers came into the series overconfident! Another reason I'm rooting for the Blue Jays

The Jays played great! I agree that the Dodgers just seem off somehow. Friday should be interesting. He’s a great pitcher.

Well, it’s clear to me that the US media crowned the Dodgers as winners before a game was even played. Last night, they finally seemed to talk more about how good the Jays were.

I can't believe this series is going all the way to 7 games. It's torturous! LOL

I thought the Dodgers double play at the bottom of the ninth was amazing! That’s the art of baseball right there. I’ve enjoyed posting in this thread, even though the majority here are Jay fans and a few expressed they are not Dodger fans. It would be something if the Jays won the World Series after 32 years. And it would be amazing if the Dodgers won the World Series back to back.. Back in 2017, the Dodgers were playing the Astros for the World Series. I was at one game when the announcer said that George Springer was at bat. I turned to my husband and I said who is George Springer? Immediately after I said that he hit a home run. So after that, I always remember who George Springer is. Unfortunately, the Astros cheated by letting their batters know what pitch was coming up. The cheater Astros won the World Series that year. As for George Springer with the Jays, even though he was hurting last night, he played through it with determination. I will always root for him in his baseball career.

It’s been a fun series and fun chatting about it. I love all the support for the Jays but I’m happy you’re here representing the Dodgers. I thought the Jays had them on the ropes there but they were a little too eager. I kept telling them to let him pitch! Great game ending double play though.

What a series! Toronto was there every step of the way and it could have gone either way. Have been a Dodgers fan since I was 5 and I'm proud of the team and their persistence. Very happy for Egbok and all the rest of the Dodgers fandom!

Well, as a Blue Jays fan, of course, I’m disappointed. However, I will say that the Dodgers played a great game and a great series and it was exciting to the very end and they’re deserving of the win. So close. I’m just happy that both teams have a lot to be proud about and that it was a good competitive and fun series to watch.

I think that the Jays may not have won the series, but they did win the hearts of the World. Not a good consolation, but it’s one of the few things that pulled the world together. I now want to visit Toronto and go to a game.
