The Braun positive test may have been caused by medication for a private medical matter. The test was AFTER the season, and Braun could be completely cleared of cheating eventually.
The Rangers submitted the highest bid for Japanese leaguer Yu Darvish @ $51.7M. They now have 30 days to sign him to a contract. This guy is a beast, he's half Iranian / half Japanese...6' 5" - 220 lbs....nasty stuff, FB-SL...can't wait to see this guy in action.

Yeah, Ketchup, I hate that. I don't think he's a cheater, but he was declared "not guilty" rather than "innocent" by the ruling. I believed his speech about him not getting any stronger or faster over the last 5-10 years, and I believed he was drug-free anyway...so, I'm rooting for him.
Darvish is in Rangers camp and it's a circus. So many Japanese media members...
On a sad note, I think this is Josh Hamilton's last season as a Ranger because they're not going to pay him what he wants.

I tuned into a couple Cubs pre-season games thinking I wouldn't see anything interesting or new, and there was this handsome guy batting last. Batting last? I was thinking he was too handsome to bat last...LOL Anyway, he was batting like 400 and I couldn't take my eyes of of him. His name is Joe Mather and he's been around a little while, but I have never heard of him. But I think the Cubs better keep him. He can play like 5 positions!

the whole family went to the Giants/A's Bay Area Series yesterday at AT&T Park. We all had a really great time and fabulous seats 16 rows up from first base. I just love baseball season!

I second that. I drove to visit family this weekend and was able to catch part of the Rangers games both Friday night and Sunday afternoon...nice of them to win both times! I love listening to the baseball games on the radio.

When I quit watching the Rangers game last night it was 4-2...seems like I turned off my television a little early (although after an almost one-half hour top of the 2nd inning I had things to do...!).

Josh has cooled off a little, but he's still a dangerous hitter. Hit his 19th HR tonight vs. Blue Jays.
Yu is a freakin' sensation. Best and most consistent pitcher the Rangers have right now.

my daughter Holly (aka Greekbread) was at the game because it was also a big food truck event prior to the game starting. her and her chef friends went together. she said it was an absolutely AMAZING night to be a part of it at AT&T park.
