Hi Jimmer, both our teams are playing in the World Series. I have my calendar blocked on the dates they play. I don't want to miss a game, both teams are going to give us a fantastic World Series.

Now that the Mariners are out, I’m rooting for the Jays. Just can’t root for the Dodgers.

Hi Kookliebird, I'm curious, why you can't root for the Dodgers? I'm not baiting here, just curious for your honest answer.

For me it's their crazy salaries. They pay their players more than any other team pays theirs.

Their payroll is insanely high, similar to the New York teams. But more than anything, I guess it’s kind of the image of invincibility. It’s a little similar to how a lot of America feels about the Kansas City Chiefs. I personally enjoy watching them play and I even enjoy watching them win, but I can understand why people supporting other teams have become tired of them.

I've been a LA Dodgers fan since age 12 when my uncle took us to see Koufax pitch. I fell in love with beautiful Dodger Stadium right then and there and the art of baseball. I'm so excited for the start of the World Series.

Egbot….Some people are Dodger fans, some are not. I am never fond of teams that splash money around to get the best players in the world on their roster.
I only really watch baseball in the playoffs. Have been to a few games, but to track a season of, what seems like, a million games, is not something I do. Usually, I know what’s going on in MLB, just hardly ever sit down and watch a game.
Plus, I normally root for underdogs.

Kooliebird, I understand your position. Many years ago I felt the same about the New York Yankees/Steinbrenner paying for their high end baseball players.

But in today's world, many professional sports teams have followed the Yankee's playbook on obtaining great sports players.

Regardless, I will always bleed Dodger Blue and stay with them through their history of ups and downs each season.

I appreciate you sharing your thoughts.

So okay, Let's Play Ball!! Or as the infamous Vince Scully would say "It's time for Dodger Baseball!!"

It was so cool getting to see the first Grand Slam ever in the world series! And the team I was rooting for is the one that did it!

Pamy, thank you for the tip about Cosm in LA. I’ll look into it.

Last night’s game was fun to watch. Lots of action and some awesome plays, especially the grand slam, wow, that was amazing and I’m happy for the baseball player that did it.

It was a fun game. I was mostly worried that the Blue Jays would get completely blown out in this series so it was very encouraging to see them win like this. The Dodgers are very tough though so they have a long way to go before this is done.

From what I understand, if you get past the dodgers starting pitchers, their bullpen can be hit on. So, they don’t have depth on their pitching staff. It was clear, last night, that the Jays could hit the dodgers bullpen pretty easily. Hope that continues.

Plus, the Canadian anthem was so inspiring. Having Canadians be the flag in the outfield was just beautiful. The one dodger I do really like, Freddie Freeman, was singing along because he’s part Canadian. That was pretty cool.

I learned the words to the Canadian anthem in the 70’s. Portland Timbers played in the NASL soccer league and I had season tickets. Vancouver and another Canadian team would come through Portland a couple times and they’d play the Canadian anthem. My friends and I would sing along because it’s such a beautiful anthem.
