Matthew has tried at least a half dozen times to get something going with FN. At this point I doubt it will happen. He just isn't that likeable.
As for Jason, not a fan either...

My bet is on Jason. I like him a lot, hope he wins and am looking forward to seeing what he brings to Food Network.

I disagree with letting Cory go before Rusty - I thought his tape was much better. Oh well, different strokes for different folks.
I honestly thought Jason's was the weakest of the three, but figured he would win.

I agree, I was so tired of Rusty's name dropping. Maybe that is why they kept him until second?
Thrilled that Jason won. Hope the fame doesn't go to his head, I think he is genuine, but this stuff can be very seductive.

I think Jason has already changed since he won the holiday baking championship. I guess maybe he's more self-confident but it bordered on cocky at times for me...and enough of the gaudy clothes!

Sad. Another "winner" I won't watch. Then again I gave up watching this network years ago. I'm not a fan of their "personalities." Most are too annoying or abrasive for my liking.

I thought Rusty was copying Emerile with his loud kicks, dances and other stunts and his pitiful abuse of language "derin?". I heard Emerile say he began shouting Bam because people were falling asleep.
I hope Jason has a show cooking vs the many, many other shows of people eating at the carnival, the bbq, the diner, the new hot spot...

I'm sure he will make an appearance on the show...I too hope he has an actual cooking show instead of a "featuring other cooks" show. Or perhaps a new dessert show? Now that Ace of Cakes has gone off-air it doesn't seem like we have many dessert shows where they actually demonstrate a dessert...lots of shows where they compete against one another in desserts but no actual cooking of them.
On another topic - Matthew must have done something to really annoy the network - did you notice that there were almost no sound bites from him and they only showed him a few times?

I was disappointed with the finale. While I was fine with Cory or Jason winning...I just felt like it was a nothing episode. I ended up fast forwarding through most of it.
