I think there's an agenda somewhere that Mirai is out and Tonya is in there. Tonya is being used to see either a Josh or Adam win. I'm not sure which one is being helped out. Someone doesn't think their chosen athlete can win with Mirai in the finals. Obviously, there is no proof only my opinion after watching this show since the beginning.

BJM, I feel the same way about Adam as Mirai. I'm really disappointed he is in the F2. I'm hoping after next week, he disappears into oblivion never to grace my TV screen again.
Lexie, I don't get your point? Adam and Mirai are best friends. They've known each other for years. How could you not like Adam? He's so adorable!

I can't stand him BJM. During the Olympics, he struck me as a rude, self-entitled, snotty little twit who thinks the world revolves around him. I really despise him.

Wow. I got the opposite impression of him. I thought he was a (really cute) young man who has faced a lot of adversity and negativity because of his sexual orientation, but he is so positive and funny. I just love him and hope he wins.

During the Olympics I got kind of the same impression of Adam as Lexie_girl. Didn't like him. Surprised that I'm OK with him now on DWTS.

I don't know why his sexuality was such a big deal...an Olympic male figure skater is gay...SHOCKER! I felt like he was making a big deal out of it to get himself more air time.

That and the fact that even after the team and Men's competition was over, he kept hanging around. He was practically stuck on Mirai backstage before her short and long programs. That kind of turned me off a bit.

Adam may not be the first gay figure skater (we know he's not), but he's the first one to really be open about it. He's proud of who he is. And Mirai is his best friend. That's why he was hanging around, to support her in her competition. What's wrong with that? I was hoping he'd go far when I heard he was on DWTS. Love him! He's such a positive, funny person. He just seems like he'd be fun to be around. I don't get the hate.

I’m just not invested in any of these “stars”. At this point, I care more about the pro dancers.
I have nothing against athletes, but I found the all athlete season boring.

I liked Adam. When he was on the Olympics, I thought that DWTS was made for him and his personality. Glad he won. Although, his freestyle was not good at all.

I liked Adam too and was glad he won. Yep, that freestyle was too much style and not enough dance! I was surprised to see the 9's however. They usually give them all 10's no matter how good they are.

This is just one of the reasons I fell in love with Adam Rippon. I read this when the Olympics were still in progress.
When he was offered to be an NBC correspondent for the rest of the Winter Games (after his portion was over) he turned it down to stay in the Olympic village. "I worked so hard to be on this Olympic team, and my teammates and my friends were there for me during my events and that meant so much to me, that I really feel like I need to be there for them during their events as well," he said at the time.
He was there to support his team, not to get more limelight.
