Yes, he seems like such a kind man to share his song in this way. I don't know that artist, but I will be looking up more about him.

Sometimes the judges say that the song choice was bad. I just assumed that they had a big list to pick from, but the singer made the choice.

They do pick from a list. I got the impression that one girl sang a country song to show more range.

They have a list but it’s pretty limited so they often end up with a song they wouldn’t normally consider singing.

IN the past they had a short list to pick from barely twice as many songs as people and when others select your song, the choice is less.

OK, the judges are conferring - raise you hand if you think this is all pre planned and nothing they do on the stage changes their mind. I don't believe for a minute that the judges don't walk in with a prepared list.
sorry this show makes me cynical, but I still believe that when the public voting takes over surprises happen.

I was so happy Caleb and Maddie made it through. Their duets were awesome. Amelia wasn't one of my favs, but I was still shocked she went home tonight.

I switched channels and watched the Resident, I am wondering what happened to Alyssa. I didn't think her duet was very good, but she was one of my favorites. I don't see her as one of the 14.

I was wondering because I had heard she didn't make it but then she wasn't on the above list...darn it! But given her performance Sunday night (haven't seen her duet) I think she needs more experience...voice of an angel but not much stage presence at this point.

Effie was supposed to duet with someone else (can't remember who they said) but that person got sick. So, I'm assuming the country singer helped out. Meaning, Effie had to learn one of her songs.
Same thing happened to Marcio. Toni Braxton was his duet partner. Alan Stone was a last minute sub.
