Weaves/Foils = taking a weave of the roots using a rattail comb, then putting that hair between some foil and coloring it. Either bleaching for highlights (light colors), or color for lowlights (darker colors). Then when it is done processing you have pretty hair of various colors. Back in the day I got both at the same time....very expensive.

Wow, I wonder what the glitz was, LOL.

Highlights/lowlights...all I know. So, I would say I've colored my hair.

Rn, my hair color matches one of the aquirrels that comes around even so often.

That sounds like a quite lovely color, Abby7. In WA state we also have black squirrels. And brown squirrels. And gray squirrels. Oh, and Douglas squirrels which are about half the size of other squirrels and totally adorable. If you are Douglas-squirrel colored, I bet you are just adorable too.

Hey! Looks like I can post in the Hair thread if I talk about squirrels!! I wonder what else I can get away with?

Burke says, "SQUIRREL!! Where?????", as he has his nose pressed against the window. He understands that word.

I have been having a bit of fun with my hair since it has grown back. It used to be a lovely brown ( with professional help). It has grown back curly and is dark in the back and a pretty white/silver in front. I had streaks of blue added in August and then did purple in November. I plan to do green for Christmas. I have received many compliments and it is quite fun and fetching if I do say so myself.

I had a patient who decided on purple when her hair grew back.

Yes, my own hair was brown. There are some of those, plus white ones, and Peggy has weaved in bleach for years, and placards in some blonde color.

I go every 6 or 7 weeks and I figure I don't smoke 🚬 or drink 🍸 and I am sorry it.

This is so old. Since pandemic shutdown, my first appointment was cancelled due to Patty's husband getting sick.. Possibly COVID. grew hair and bangs, got one haircut to get bangs back and just trim my own hair since then.

Wait a minute! Is this a trap????!?

Everybody here knows I am permanently banned from posting in this thread.

I have gone to paying 45!!!!! US DOLLARS to get my hair cut in South Padre Island, TX, to a woman I discovered when she was around 25 and is now 50. I am her oldest, er, longest-time surviving customer. She has a talent.

Back home, I have given up and just cultivate the Vietnamese girls at Great Clips as best I can, both of whom have given me great haircuts and abominable haircuts. I think for my upcoming super-possibly-last-in-a-lifetime cruise of its type, I will go to Kay-Kay, as opposed to Dee-Dee, and offer her a big tip if she will spend the extra time to do what she did a few weeks ago to give me a great cut that falls into place effortlessly.

Haha Juju, when I saw your post of Mar 14th, I was going to post "aren't you banned from this thread".

I need a haircut soon. I usually go to Fantastic Sam's because there's a woman there that cuts my hair just right. And so far she hasn't left the company....it's been 5 years now.

I have tried using Super Cuts because they have a $25.00 fee for seniors (that's me). The gal there has been there forever and she gives me a decent haircut.

My hair motto is "it always grow back".
