Lakecat here's a youtube of the Trailer for the film. A good way to figure out if you can comfortably hear the British AND Indian accents. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BHc_ZTEH0VU

On a lot of British productions I turn on my caption setting. I can't understand a word they say on the new British program Ripper Street and have to revert to the captioning. However, I never had any problem understanding the dialog on Marigold Hotel.

They do hide them well. It takes half a dozen steps on our VCR to get to the darn thing.

It is a wonderful film, Lakecat, isn't it? I am currently reading the book and thoroughly enjoying it, but it's 95% different from the film. So glad I saw the film first.

Yes it was. Now I think Ill give Downton Abby a go. I think Maggie Smith and the other actress-the character always looking for her next husband are both on that series.

I just watched this on Sunday and I loved it. DH is 25 yrs older than I am, so I'll leave it on the dvr for him to see. It's probably something he will really enjoy. (fwiw, I didn't need CC)

Just learned from EW that in January a sequel to TBEMH should be getting started. Dame Judi is on board for sure. Also they are in talks with Richard Gere. I could do without any Americans although I do like Gere. I'd like it to keep being 'Exotic'.

The powers that be gave the movie an R rating. Miss Dench went to war and got them to lower it to a PG13. Way to go my love.
