I hoped for much more. Barely a few drops here. I'm very disappointed.

At 10am, the wind picked up an was coming from the desert instead on onshore. And it is a hot Santa Ana wind. Fire in Malibu and I am sure elsewhere. We moved from Detroit to So California in 1959 and I remember the first time experiencing the abrupt start of these hot winds. We were startled but our new friends just shrugged and said "devil winds".

A massive cold front arrived last night bringing 25F drop in temperatures. The potential rain never made it to San Antonio but extremely high winds with gusts up to 50 MPH. About 1 PM a gust split a tree along our street and blocked off our end of the cul de sac. The HOA maintenance crew removed enough of it to get by and a tree removal service is expected in an hour or so to at least remove the big pieces and maybe take the tree completely out.
