RN I just had to deal with ANOTHER pita customer who came to pick up 2 orchids she bought earlier this week. She had wanted them "mossed". It's where you take pieces of sheet moss and tie them with raffia to the stems. It's time consuming to do and it looks ugly and tacky. Anyway, I spent 20 minutes with her getting the orchids boxed (no big deal) trying to find saucers the size she liked. Discussing with her why the saucers were 50 cents more than what she thought, getting the free cards for her and the plastic stems to stick the cards in and then into the plant. Ringing her up and going over a few times why it cost so much and no I didn't over charge her. Meanwhile, the male worker who is with me today, just stood there waiting to carry the orchids to the car. He carried 1 and I carried the other. I'm the one who helped her move the car seat forward so we could put the orchids on the back floor and not get ruined. Why am I saying all this? Because I'm the one who dealt with the Pita. All he did was put 1 box in the car. As soon as I turned my back away from the car, I knew she was gonna do it, because she had the money out, she slipped him a tip. And he saw me watching her give it to him. You're supposed to share tips. He didn't. I'm not upset about the dollar. I would have told him to keep it. But what he did is showed me his true character today, and I won't forget that. He's already been on my radar for a few other things. I'm not even going to get into that I found him in the owners office 5 minutes later. He searched around to find a charger to plug his iPhone into. He should have asked me to look for one. (Owner and rest of the family members/family were out today.) Can't wait for this season to end.

RN Goodness Grooch! I hope you have a better day tomorrow Yes, Mack, too substantial. Concerning the inspection....Well, the shed has termite damage, but the house is clear. The shed is an exclusion anyway. I guess the whole thing went well. Just a couple small things I find out later. Their agent even stopped her car to talk to me while I was across the street. You could tell her first language is Spanish. She was a very cheery type of person. She commented how clean my house was and it doesn't seem like I have even dogs. She said my house was beautiful. That's the second one to comment on the cleanliness. I didn't tell her it doesn't always look like this. LOL Tonight we are sending my offer for the new house!

RN you guys are so wonderful! Well, owners of the house came back with a counter offer 4K over when I offered. My agent said she's going to wait until morning to reply that I'm holding firm. So that's all the news so far.

RN that’s wonderful, Naja! Grooch, customer service is a real challenge especially when you’re providing a product that is subject to personal whims and taste. Plus having to deal with a boss that isn’t all there. You do amazing.

So, will you still be dogsitting while getting prepared to move, or are you going to cut back a bit so you can concentrate on moving?

RN Thanks Jimmer! Grooch, I am still sitting, but a very light schedule. The last dog goes home the day before I move. Then I have about 6 days with no dogs until Thanksgiving in the new house.

Thank you, Jimmer. I got a bit of revenge on the tip-hoarder this morning. The boss's obsession today is moving trees from the back of the building to the front. Nobody likes doing it because there's no point to it this time of year. So, whenever I saw the tip-hoarder going past the window, I'd tell my boss, oh, there he goes with a tree. I hope he knows where to pit it, and which way to turn the tree so the best side is showing. So, my boss would jump up and run out the door and micromanage him. Later on, the tip-hoarder came inside and called my boss a giant pain in the ass. Normally, I try to distract my boss to leave the guys alone when they're working in the yard. Today, I got my dollar's worth of entertainment.

I'm 2 miles from home so I can go home at lunch to take care of my dog. That's why I do it.
