RN How's this for TMI? LOL Those 4 middle uppers are just wearing away and so much shorter than they used to be. All my other teeth are fine! I think it's from drinking too much diet soda. I noticed when they started wearing away I drank soda in a such a way it flushed over those teeth. I switched to a straw awhile ago, but it was much too late.

So are you getting implants and not crowns? Or? I haven't had any dental coverage for years, so grab this while you can! I stopped drinking any soda (Pepsi was my choice) in February 2012, probably a good thing for many reasons.

RN definitely not implants. So I guess all that leaves is veneers or crowns, and I don't know yet. I still have to see the dentist and see what she thinks.

I would think crowns would work, but that would, or used to, involve, A temporary crown, then installation for a permanent one . Or ones.

RN Just got home from 3.5 hours at the dentist, and I already have my temp crowns in! They were so slow today that when I was done with my cleaning, they went ahead and started work on me for the crowns. My new front teeth will be ready Sept 5, but I can't go in until Sept 10. So it's all going to be taken care of in 2 visits! How great is that? BUT, it ends up medicaid only covered my teeth cleaning. I have to pay $4,200. It's ok, I'll just put it all on my carecredit card.

RN Check out how crazy my top teeth look after being ground down! They have ugly temp crowns on them at the moment, but I took this before they applied them. I don't go back until the 10th for the real crowns. I could have them by the 5th, but I have 3-4 dogs at my house I can't leave on that day.

RN I received my license renewal from Virginia and I’m leaning toward not renewing. Since I worked for the Federal government I only needed to be licensed in one state and actually was licensed in Washington and Virginia so no need for a Texas license as long as I didn’t practice outside of the Federal government. At my age no interest in private practice and don’t want to teach anymore. Big change in my life after 50 years.

RN As it is I rarely use the title. I did use it when I worked in direct patient care and in fact was required to use it. Once I moved into program management it wasn’t a big deal and actually had bosses who didn’t like me to use it. The couple of universities I taught at also required I use it as it added to the schools’ accreditation. My ex was more rabid about me always using the title as she had a doctorate in nursing science and always used her title when not using her Army rank. My wife of 28 years doesn’t care one way or the other. Not sure about Texas law but Washington state has a law that pertains to what they call “protected titles” and you have to be licensed to use a title like doctor.

Naja, is there a medical necessity for your crowns? If so Medicaid in Missouri may cover them. You would likely need a PA.

RN We checked everything while we were at the dentist. Believe me, they wanted to help. RN My nice old neighbor just left helping me get my my DDH's old riding mower started for me to sell it today. He rode it around a little and it's working great. The battery was dead from it sitting. Actually it looks brand new because DH passed after only getting to use it 1 or 2 summers. The guy who wants to look at it is coming at noon, about 30 mins from now.

RN 2 of my temp caps came off just now while I was eating my fettuccine tv dinner, and I didn't notice and chewed them to smithereens.

RN, That’s frustrating for them to come off but not uncommon. They are temporary.
