RN Even though both of these GS dogs are out of control and don't listen, neither one has the slightest bit of food or toy aggression, and they both love everyone and every dog they meet. They'll even eat side by side out of the same bowl. People often lump pitbulls and GS dogs in the same "mean" category, but I really feel it's more likely to be able to have a friendly GS dog than a pitbull.

Those GS dogs look like sweethearts, Naja. All of the GS dogs I've come across at the dog park have been sweet as well.

RN I just filled the carpet steam cleaner to get ready to clean the carpet AGAIN. The dog I was interviewing (little Jack Russel mix) was running around the yard playing with my dogs, and when he came in he took a long drink of water and threw it up in the middle of my living room. He had also eaten recently so it wasn't just the water.

Were the owners of the dog there and saw what happened? If so, I hope they gave you some money for your time and effort for cleaning.

If they didn't, then you probably don't want to dog sit for those cheap you know whats.

RN It was a meet and greet and the dog threw up right in front of them. The wife helped me paper towel up what we could. I don't think they'll hire me. 90% of the time if they don't book the stay before they leave, and say they have to discuss it and will let me know, I usually don't hear from them again. We'll see. They were nice enough.

RN I drove past Yolanda's crashed up Sonic today and it looks almost all rebuilt and close to reopening. I wrote and told her. She said they are supposed to call her when it's almost ready and give her a chance to come back before they hire another person.

RN I forgot to say that the meet and greet dog also crapped in the yard. Still haven't heard from them. Since the dates they want start tomorrow, I'll give them until 3 PM before I archive their request.

RN Remember the whole hullabaloo last summer when my electric bill got paid twice, and it was the highest bill ever because almost every day was in the 90s?

Well that month the bill $432, and I had a tenant. This year that same bill is $323 and it's been just as hot. So having a tenant added almost $110.

RN Check this out. One of the German Shepherds I babysit (it's here now) has an owner named Nancy. I just found out it's the same Nancy that wrote all these psychology books.

RN I LOVE this power broom this youtube guy uses. I watch him transform yards for free and his power broom is my fav tool of his. I almost wish I had a need for one. LOL
The part with the broom should start 2 seconds after you start the video.

That’s a pretty neat tool. Today I don’t do my own yard, too hot and I’m too old. Jose Silva is my man and other than me messing around with my gardens and flower beds he takes care of my yard. I will even have him do the mulch next year. Spreading 40 bags by hand myself convinced me that is a nay-nay chore for me. 😬

RN It's starting to get too hard for me. I have hip and knee that will need servicing soon, so everything is a lot of effort lately. And takes a lot more time.

RN I have the busiest dog weekend coming up!

I don't have sidewalks so I wouldn't need it. But when you mow, don't you make sure the side that the grass flies out of the mower isn't facing the sidewalk?

And couldn't you just use a leaf blower to get rid of the grass?

RN Thanks Grooch! My Aunt Nancy said the same thing about the sweeper. That guy in the video sweeps piles and then scoops it into lawn bags, and then blows what's left behind into the lawn. The sweeper is really good at scraping packed down dirt and other things off the sidewalk that the blower can't blow. He doesn't just mow lawns, he goes around and finds the most neglected yards and does them for free. Some jobs take him 3 days they are such a mess. His channel is so interesting to watch. OH, a lot of the mess is edging the lawns. When a lawn hasn't been edged in years, the mess is tremendous and there's no aiming it.

Naja, I have a broom similar to this, and it works really great outdoors. He should try it.

RN, my sister was diagnosed in June with Stage 4 renal cell carcinoma. It’s metastasized to her liver, stomach, spine, heart, & possibly brain. Her husband is self employed & they haven’t had health insurance for years. She’s gotten 3 Keytruda infusions through Medicaid. Yesterday she was informed that she does NOT have/qualify for Medicaid & today’s infusion would be out of pocket. Mega bucks, but her part time job will cover most of it. She was approved for something called a “patient assistance program” that will cover the infusions & cancer pills.
Sis is a mega-maga, TFG all the way, and now that she’s dealing with the Medicaid mess, she says “sh** is effed up for sure.”
As hard as it is watching my kid sister fight cancer it’s even harder knowing that the consequences of her vote are affecting her.
Frustrating, because no one wants a loved one to FAFO.
