No the pool isn't usually a problem, but these little devil mosquitoes can lay eggs in just a trace of standing water and where I live it doesn't get all that cold.

These pests don't make any noise, tend to attack from below and don't wait for dusk to come out. And they are tiny so they get through any flaw in a screen.

RN I used to have 3 giant inflatable cushions I put under the cover, but it still gets standing water around them. The cushions are really for relieving the pressure when it's frozen. Anyway, the pool guy asked if I wouldn't use them anymore, so I don't. He opens and closes the pool for me.

RN Max isn't happy with the tutu :-(
He's a pain in my ass, so I am ready for him and his sister to go home tonight. They've been here over a week.

RN, why did the pool guy ask that you not use the cushions? It was a pool guy that recommended them to my friend with an outdoor pool. I think you have to have one centrally located large item, so it creates a pyramid, and the water runs off the sides (like a tent).

PS I really dislike clothes on dogs, except necessary ones, like coats for short haired dogs in the winter.

RN Since he opens and closes the pool, and he would be the one to place the cushions and remove them, I just let him to as he wants. I don't know the reason.

Jeez, I only left the tutus on for a picture.

RN, Naja, sorry if I offended you. Just stating that I don't like clothes on pups.

RN Oh goodness, anything can set me off. I am getting very little sleep. I'm overbooked with dogs until May 16. So much so that I can't take another single booking until then. I worry about how can I get this place ship shape over and over again for tenant prospects with so many dogs here. Every day seems to be a marathon. I have a half a day tomorrow with only one dog here and I asked the owner if she minds if I leave him here alone with my dogs for a half an hour just so I can get to the bank. Thank goodness she doesn't mind.

RN, big hugs to you Naja. I know how little sleep can get to you. I didn't get good results from my MRI yesterday, so I'm scared shitless.

Yes, adding to prayers, Kar, that the tumors are larger because they are dying. But it certainly is scary. I hope you hear something from the oncologist soon.

Seamonkey, it's not because the tumors are dying. They are growing.

RN Not to detract from Kurunnaโ€™s challenges and issues that make my heart and brain hurt and, in fact, I hesitate to post this because it is so absolutely so relatively minor but it was what happened today. I went to upgrade my computer to be able to upgrade my self built computer to Windows 11. Quite frankly I donโ€™t know what might have happened or what I did wrong but it โ€œblew upโ€ and my computer now qualifies as a boat anchor. I have already ordered the parts and pieces to rebuild it but along with other things happening today in my life it was a poop sandwich. ๐Ÿ˜Ÿ

RN I know the feeling, Mack!

RN On a different note, look how big one of the dogs I'm watching is. Twice as big as Dolly. His name is Henry and he is a gentle giant. You can just see a sliver of his little sister at the bottom right. Her name is Opal.

Maris! I had to laugh at your sweet question right after seeing the giant dog Henry!

It is a good question.

Mack, one of the starting events in my horrible year was my desktop dying a sudden death.. the motherboard died. I hope you can successfully rebuild.

RN Maris, thank you so much for thinking of me! And for everything you've already done. I only have 76 more days until the benefits are supposed to start, and I'm going to try to stick it out! ๐Ÿ™ƒ

Whoa! That is a huge dog/puppy? I thought Dolly was a sort of regular-sized dog, like about 20" tall and about 20 pounds.

RN I don't know how tall Dolly is, but she's about 60 lbs. Pretty average size I think. Patsy is almost up to 80lbs and the vet said that's too much. Lose 10.
