Ok, that was a very good meal, filling and tasted great, however, it wasn't hot, LOL. Which was one of the big issues this new group was supposed to solve.
And now they are putting in robots! That ought to mess up the works some more before they even having it running smoothly.

I know, at our town hall meeting they said that it was an error to have turkey so many times and with all the things they were working on no one noticed.
But they had time to get robots!

OMG, the robots are very annoying. One lady was walking down the aisle using her walker and the robot came up and said... I am blocked take your time to move (out of the way). She couldn't get around it, there wasn't enough room. She finally went around the other way, they need to program them to back up and get out of the way.
Then it started singing Happy Birthday to people! OMG annoying, everyone thought it was "cute". We have 17 people with birthdays today!
It is going to get old fast. Because they load the food tray on the robot then food gets there while it is hot, but the robot says "your food is ready, please wait for your server to serve you". So I guess if the servers are busy (the robot computer girl served me) you get to watch your food sit there.
Oh and I got there at 5.00, but I didn't see a table, so I waited. Finally sat down at 5.12, no service finally moved over to my normal table at 5.20 so I could get helped. There are only 6 tables in that area. Still took some time to get served but I got my beverages right away.
Finally got my receipt, it was wrong, LOL. they charged me for a special salad I didn't order or get. And I had the carrot cake for dessert.

LOL that does seem logical but the robot doesn't get close enough to the table to grab it, you would have to stand up and step over to it.
I suspect they don't want the old people grabbing the food and dropping it! Some of our residents are quite old. I heard one daughter talking to the staff yesterday saying " she is 93 years old, has lived here for 10 years and all of a sudden you are changing it. She didn't get a receipt with her breakfast so now she thinks breakfast is free" ...
I didn't hear the rest.

I know, LOL. But dinner was a disaster tonight. I went down at 5:10 thinking the "rush" would be over. When we sat down I could see we ended up with the slowest server. At about 5.30 I noticed the table before us didn't have silverware and had not been served. We finally got to order abt 5.45 and were told they were out of the Daily Special. Plus the reason for the delay was the computer was broken.
Now I did see some people in the other areas got their food in the meantime. Then we were told the computer was jammed. Had to order something different since they were out of the special.
A couple of people walked out but we just ordered other stuff. I ordered the Cheeseburger with a side salad .. got the cheeseburger and what looked like the bottom of the chips bag. Didn't get a tomato slice and only part of and onion slice. Thankfully I got the rest of the onion slice from my friend who appeared to have the inside of the onion and I had the outer rings.
It tasted fine but I wanted the side salad, and it took a half hour just to get a glass of water and some Iced Tea.
Pretty bad, and I can't believe they ran out of food.

Well I keep trying to remember that they have only been in place for 2 weeks, this is number 3. They really weren't ready to open, they call it a soft open but they threw non-computer servers into the fire with no real training except while they were trying to serve dinner.
For some reason Sodexo thought that if they were open from 7 to 7 people who have been coming to dinner at 4 or 5:15 for 3 to 10 years would change their eating habits and not all show up at 4 and 5.
Plus now that there are no Free deliveries everyone has to come down and impact service. There used to be at least 30 deliveries everyday.
And since the Daily Special (the meal everyone has expected for years) is not available to order until 4pm it causes a run on the system. I suggested they make it available at noon, then the dining habits would change.
I wonder if people with any logic or common sense exist in corporations anymore. I could have explained these issues if anyone had asked but they seem to think they know better not having been here.
Their solution was robots, hahahahahaha.

They think everybody who lives there is feeble-minded. You could teach them a million things, Dipo. Obviously you are going to have to take over in return for rent concessions. Except that we here would miss you too much, and you would have to hire more household help.
