Wait, what, TX is getting walloped with snow and ice??? How far south in Texas? I am about 300 miles south of Mack, and it is doggone cold here right now. We were here in South Padre Island, TX, the winter of 2004 for a very, very rare snowfall. It would be sort of cool to be here for another one.

RN according to my home weather station, which I can access via the Internet, it is 35F right now at home. It also is showing almost an inch of rain in the past 24 hours. My son hasn’t texted or emailed me about the weather.

RN I just cancelled my trash service and went with their competition.
Trash day is today, but here is the message I got:
"The following services for Friday, January 10, 2025 have been rescheduled for Friday, January 17"
Do you notice anything funny about that statement?
They didn't "reschedule" anything! They are just skipping this week.

RN It's a no from the Pilates girl ☹️ She doesn't have transportation yet, and She's just thinking of going back to NYC.
Bout Roxie, the GM: She jumps on me, she barks non stop, she pooped in the house. She's here until Tuesday.

RN, in Port Isabel,TX HEB (the main grocery store for South Padre Island, TX, where we are almost done spending three months) a dozen large eggs are $4.71.
I'll go check my Kroger affiliate back home in WA state: hmmmmm, looks like $5.99.

Yeah, I wouldn't trust that dog not to start something. I know it is a puppy, but this might be too much to ask, to behave with that many dogs.
My dog experience didn't include interaction with groups of dogs from other homes and treats were not group things.
The other dogs did very well!

I am constantly amazed at these treat videos, how Naja manages to get all of those different dogs in an obedient chorus line to get their treats. Well, of course Dolly and Patsy know exactly how to behave and are modeling behavior for the others, on how to get treats.

RN Oh God, Roxie's mom and dad were a little too happy with the service. I'll likely see Roxie again. LOL

RN I am finally starting to feel like a human and may be at the end of my bad cold that I got around the 1st of January. So ridiculous. Maybe I'll finally get the Christmas decorations put away. I'm sick of looking at them at this point. They are mocking me.

RN She was going to try to stay where she is for another month until her apartment is ready, but the guy she came out here for is being a jerk. So she's going to wait out her month here.
