RN Good thing I got everything done early. I tried to go down the back deck stairs just now and I can't. There's already a layer of ice on them. It's been a very slow fine drizzle the past couple hours, and with it being only 24 degrees right now, it's just all freezing into a sheet.

I remember my childhood days of slipping and sliding! I still carry a scar on one knee where I fell in eighth grade walking around the block at school and slid on ice.

RN This is crazy, you all. We had that big snow yesterday that went into the the evening. I had gone to my room to watch tv from bed about 7:30. I fell asleep right away and woke up about 1 AM. I went to the front living room window to see how much more it had snowed, and someone had shoveled my driveway! I thought maybe Endo shoveled while I was asleep, but I thought it weird he would shovel and not clean off his car. So I checked the security cam.
Someone plowed my driveway!

RN: I just got back from the vet to have my dog's stitches removed. I had to have his tail amputated 2 days before Christmas. He's had a benign tumor on his tail his whole life that suddenly decided to grow and burst. It's been a very long, stressful few weeks. And thankfully, he's doing great. I just can't wait to be done with the cone of shame. Still have a few weeks with that to contend with.

RN Now that I think on it, it's probably the guy down the street who rents that kind of equipment for his job.
RN I sure wish I was ready to move. I found a little house where I could bank money from selling this one, and not have stairs everywhere! It's 4.5 miles from my house now.
The arrow is pointing to it. That big complex next to it is Harry Truman's Presidential Museum and Library.
And this is it's listing. Just a little place like this is all I want. I'm not too fond of that stone thing in front. Maybe a tree was there and it died.

Rn, that was such a good horror movie. It’s funny though, because it includes so much outdated technology (home phones, VCR, old TV’s), I’ve heard that young people seem to have trouble understanding it.

Katniss got her trip to emergency vet on NY Eve.
Now on appetite stimulant and Gabapentin.. Still concerned but improving. Vet bill, gigantic.

Rn, thanks Sea. Actually, it’s our dog. He had a very rough time for a few days, sick to his stomach, stopped eating and could barely stand up. But now he’s doing great again and back going on his long regular walks. We do understand that he is getting old though

Sea, I understand about the vet bills. I'm in over $2,000 or more by now.
I just wish this happened before I did my Christmas shopping. Then I could have just given a "Thank You for donating to the Stanley Tail Fund" card, signed with a paw print instead of a gift. Lol!

RN The fence is high enough, but the dogs would hate the tiny yard. I'm nowhere near ready to move. Just looking. I'd rather move back to the Chicago area, but there's no way you can find little homes for that price over there. Plus, the taxes in Illinois are so much more than here. I keep being pushed to the realization that here near Kansas City is the only way I can afford to live in a house.
