RN No, Apollo was here Christmas Eve and Christmas day. He went home already. They'll get to meet Rosso. The adorable mini doodle.

RN I wish Google fiber was available in our community. My son has it and it is lightning fast compared to AT&T DSL. I won’t go Comcast which is the cable network in the area because of issues I had with them in the past. Google fiber installation is getting closer as they keep installing more and more lines. It was looking very encouraging this summer as they laid the fiber up to the closest major intersection, about 1/2 mile away, but no progress in this direction since. We’re barely in the county and Google has been more focused on developing within city limits.

RN I keep trying to figure out ways to drop Xfinity and get everything I need cheaper through Google fiber, but it isn't going to happen as far as I can tell. Darn youtube TV lowest tier is $83 plus another $29.99 to get the extras I already have. Then the fiber is $70+$10 for phone.

There's nothing cheaper about me cutting the cable with my grandfathered in account.

If I can do it somehow, I will. But I definitely need the online DVR feature and live channels.

RN, Naja, everyone I know who cut their cable is frustrated and paying more to get all the channels they want.

RN and Youtube tv doesn't even have MLB channel! That's a deal breaker for me.

RN, Naja, I've been thinking about that also. But I would still need Xfinity for my internet to get any of the streaming since that's the only internet provider where I live except for very unreliable satellite. so internet plus phone is $95, and all the streaming services would be additional. Youtube seems the best of the bunch, since it has DVR services.

RN If you still need xfinity for internet, there's really no reason to get tv elsewhere. JMO
I honestly thought with all these services, I could find a deal. But I can't so far.

Yeah, just the basic channels plus internet plus phone is $140. Then it's add on to get the channels I like.

However, I do pay $300/month (!) right now, so I might be able to eke out some savings, except that when I try to use streaming services like Paramount+, they are pretty glitchy out here on my tv. They work fine on my computer. Not sure why that is.

Kar, have you looked into Sling TV compared to Youtube?

RN I don't know if you guys noticed in the youtube, but the dog named Heidi only has a little nub of a tail. She chewed it off! Well, mostly. The vet had remove the rest because she chewed it too badly. Now she goes after her hip. They did all kinds of tests and xrays etc, but couldn't find anything wrong to make her do that. So they think it's mental thing. And the other more outgoing dog is 99% deaf.

I hope they have at least tried anti anxiety meds on Heidi!

Poor girl isn't a great candidate for boarding (abandonment to her) but if anyone can get her through, it would be you, Naja...

RN She's doing well. She jumped into my lap for the first time today for snuggles. She was keeping her distance until then. I knew it would happen if I waited long enough.

Anti anxiety and allergy testing. Most chewing is allergy related, and unless they go to an actual doggie dermatologist, they won't get an accurate diagnosis. We've been thru several of those cases. You might ask, gently, if you're up to it.

And Naja, I'm not surprised that they learn to trust you very quickly. Those pups know you're safe.

RN Wow, power is back. That was quick! But the last time it came back this quick, it went out again within a few minutes and didn't come back for several more hours. I hope it doesn't do that again.

RN I've had to move the tiny dogs to the kitchen. They don't want to pee outside and keep going in the house. It's got me so aggravated between all the mud, pee, and poo. Good thing I have a new washing machine to keep washing all these rugs, blankets and dog beds. As well as the furniture covers. It hasn't stopped running since 7 this morning.
