RN I just wanted to say thank you to everyone again. I just paid the taxes on the house and I wouldn't have been able to without all the help you guys gave me. Supplies and cash. It will be frugal living until June, but I'll make it now for sure! The only big bill until then is the homeowner's insurance, and I think I'll have that covered :-)

Thank you again, everyone!

Dolly's silly ears made me laugh. How DID she actually do it?

Thank, you, Karuuna, for keeping this community going all these years. And do let us know when it is time to chip in for expenses.

RN Juju, you know how sometimes a dog's ears will get stuck all the way back? Sometimes one, and on occasion both? Well this is how Dolly's ears stick. Usually it's just one ear, but sometimes both get stuck like in the video. I think this time she shook her head and they ended up this way.

I think I've said it before, but when her ears do that, she reminds me of The Flying Nun, Sister Bertrille LOL

RN: I want to buy a Amy Tan book off Amazon for a Christmas present for someone who lives across the country. The choices for the format of the book are Kindle, audiobook or flexibound.

Does anyone have a clue what flexibound is? Is it spiral bound?

RN I looked it up. It's a book that is made to look like a hardcover, but it's really flexible.

Here's a video showing them.

Thanks, Naja. The video was all black, but I could listen to it. If if put my finger on the time line and move it, I could actually see the video. So, I get the idea now. Lol!

RN Drove for the first time today since my head injury nearly three weeks ago. I was a bit nervous and apprehensive but it was fine. Probably only four miles but baby steps.

RN, that's great, Mack. Baby steps are often best, especially when the babies get to be over 70.

Grooch, which Amy Tan book are you sending your friend? I've only read 2-3 of her books, but I found her writing style to be delightful.

Amy Tan's memoir is good and she was in a charity band, The Rock Bottom Remainders, with Stephen King and other authors..

Oh and Mack, good you are cautious and careful and it seems that everything went very well.

My mom was born on Friday the 13th, so we always considered it good luck.
