RN I have a fun group here today. Winston and Kacey for boarding, Lou and Tucker here just for daycare, and my Patsy and Dolly. It's another sweet group of super friendly fur balls.

They already have the living room turned upside down.

RN the wind is beginning to kick up in Miami, the bay is pretty churned up. No rain. When you consider that we are out of the storms path (tornado warnings in effect until 9pm though), this is going to be a pretty tough on those in the path.

RN More silliness with Tucker and Lou.

RN If it starts getting very bad, they are making the people on the upper floors come down to the first floor in Mom's building.

Its all good, got back to airbnb. I pulled furniture from balcony into condo (25th floor). When I was leaving the office, they had sandbags blocking all the entrance doors so had to leave through the garage. It is just really windy and bay is churned up. As long as I have power, I will be good. I told the contractors to call me first in the morning, we will decide whether to work then.

RN, Naja do you mean they are making people go to the upper floors or come down to be evacuated.

Maris, hunker down and stay safe. I hope you have power, walking down from the 24th floor will be a witch!

RN, tx Dipo. As long as I have power long enough to watch Survivor. Plus the Summit is tonight as well. I rarely watch tv shows and tonight is a good tv night.

Maris, glad you're on the east coast. What I'm already seeing on tv, it looks pretty scary. It always amazes me how they want everybody to evacuate because its so dangerous, but all the news people stay there.

Grooch, the news people make sure they have safe places to run to! I just heard one of them referencing they are ready to run when needed.

Although based on the maps I can't really figure out where these people are evacuating to, I guess the East coast will be safer, but they are still predicting a Category 1 hurricane for them.

I think the worry here was tornados. There was a tornado this morning about an hour from where we were. I am not sure what kind of damage the wind does here. It is funny because the other who are working with me on this project, we are all from NY. Today we are looking out the window and saying, doesnt look bad right? This went on till about 3 and then it changed on a dime, the trees were blowing, the water was going up against the pilings and we said, better go.

RN Dipo, they are making them come down. But not to evacuate. I think it's because the whole west side of the upper 2 floors are glass. They are 90 ft above sea level, so they won't get the storm surge.

Seems wise with crazy winds and possibly objects blown around..

Maris, great point about spinning ofc of tornadoes. Better go, indeed! Hope you have safe place to be.

I have power but looks like no DVR. The dehumidifiers ANF air purifiers are super loud, so I can't hear anyway.
I called my 89 year old friend who is in rehab after partial hip replacement an I just went and sat in my car in the garage. Quiet and more comfortable. My recliner is a total loss anyway. So I might miss a bunch of tv..

Katniss wouldn't let me get much sleep last night, got up at 7:30 and the between 8 and 10 guy came closer to 10.

Rn, OK, I googled and it is saying it's coming ashore in Sarasota. NBC must have meant Tampa Bay.

Landed in Siesta Key. Many fond memories of there, as my best friend's parents owned a home right on the water. I'm sure it's swamped, if it's still standing.

RN This is going to be rough weekend! 5 guest dogs here today, and 4 are spending the night, Fri and Sat. Winston, Kacey and Lou are here already, and Max and FedX come at 10 AM. Lou the 6 mo white retriever puppy is only here for daycare.

and then, Sunday night Endo should be here! Jeez I hope I can get this place straitened out again before he gets here.

RN, were the eye shields put in use after Anderson Cooper was hit by flying debris?

RN, that is an impressive pack, Naja. I didn't hear any barking, though.

I remember when you just carried your one dog (Kitty? or was that the parrot's name?) up and down the stairs in her suitcase.
