RN haha, at least I won't have to worry about her saying I treat the dogs badly. They are like kings walking around here.

I'm a little upset right now. I deposited the rent the new girl gave and I logged in online and there's over $400 less than there should be in the total. So I looked close, and they charged me twice for the electric/water bill! Both amounts different but both around $430.

So I called customer service, and they said "Sorry, we cannot take any calls right now, if you would like to leave a voice mail, please stay on the line". So I left a voicemail.

1. That is a wild coincidence about the 2 nurses!
2. I hope you'll be able to sort out that double billing ASAP.

RN, oh no Naja! Do you pay your bills automatically?

RN Yes, I pay automatically. The bank says if they haven't refunded me by Monday, call back and file a whatever you call it.

This is why I don't do auto-pay. I do have to do it for my insurance payments (for the discounts), but I have a separate account where I deposit only enough for one monthly withdrawal at a time. I hope you get a fast response, Naja.

ME too, no auto pay, I put it on my calendar to pay because I don't want them to take money out of my account without my knowledge.

Blue Shield emails me every month so I know when auto pay happens, The city sends me a paper bill for water and trash but it says auto pay on the bill. Southern California Edison sends an estimate halfway through the month and then emails the amount of Auto pay.

That is interesting about the two nurses. It would be great if the pit bull's mom ended up friends with Nurse Debbie, which would be nice for her.

RN, That is just hilarious that Nurse Debbie will likely end up being a close associate of the pitbulls' owner. These days I often see a nurse practitioner for routine things, including as my primary care physician at the hospital practice for senior health. I see a nurse before I meet with the nurse practitioner. The two definitely function/interact as nurse and doctor in my town. I would never think of them as two nurses.

RN Frickin lady at utilities says someone probably hacked my account and payed my bill with my card. I'm in tears. No one is hacking me and paying my bills! I had to hang up on them because they said there is no way to reverse a payment. They said best they can do is burn off the credit on future bills.

So I paid around $866 on my electric/water this month.

RN, I cannot believe she would say that!! Someone stole your credit card to pay YOUR bill? What nonsense.

I would turn off auto pay immediately if I were you. Or report the card stolen, so that number is no longer valid.

RN I did before I even posted. I even asked for the supervisor on the second call. And the bottom line is they will not reverse a payment. I can only use the over payment as credit toward future bills. Then I told them to take the account off autopay.

RN This was 5 mins ago. A rare quiet moment with 5 dogs in the house. If you listen close, I have Kenny G playing softly in the background. LOL

Naja, did you call the bank? Let them know two payments were sent and you had only authorized one. Perhaps mention the utilities company thinks it was fraud and ask for the fraud department. Ask the bank about reversing the payment.

Sugar, that's a terrific idea, IMHO.

Although, as long as they recognize it as an overpayment, and they will put it toward future bills, at least it's going to good use. If they weren't applying it to future bills, that would be criminal on their part. IMHO.

RN Heck yes I called the bank. It's above in my August 14, 2024 - 2:43 pm post. They said if I wasn't reimbursed by Monday, I should call back and file some kind case or claim. I forget what she called it.

BUT, she said it's up to a 45 day process. So really I'm better off just waiting to use the credit.

I was thinking, speaking of letting sleeping dogs lie, that you are probably also just better off reducing your current stress and letting the credit be applied.

RN We had a HORRIBLE incident with the pit bulls today. Thank goodness they go home in a couple hours. They've been here for 9 days.

All the dogs were playing outside while I was doing yard work, and I went to the shed and got the rake to rake up the last of the twigs from cutting down the bushes.

With the first swipe of the rake, Max comes hurling at me and starts attacking the rake. I mean like a crazy rabid dog. I had to drop the rake and call everyone into the house. I left the dogs in the house to calm down, I finished my raking and leaned the rake up against the deck. Then I let the dogs back out.

Max ran straight to that leaning rake and started attacking it. In a million years I didn't think he would attack the rake without someone using it. Anyway, Naveen joined in and that pissed off Max and Max attacked Naveen and they got into a LONG fight. Unfortunately, my innocent Patsy was in the path of their fight and one of them, I don't know which, got her ear and now she was bleeding. She yelped and cried and went and hid.

So finally it was over and both of the pit bulls have bites all over from each other. Max, the one who started it with the rake has the worst around his eye. Luckily his eyeball wasn't hurt. Naveen has a bloody lip, and other small bites pretty much all over. Chest, legs, right hip....

RN, Naja... I'm so sorry. I know that can be horribly traumatic for everyone - people and dogs alike. Max and Naveen are from the same owner, right?

I hate to say it, but probably all need to go to the vet. Dog bites are notorious for getting infected. :-(
