RN Nope, they never arrived and they never contacted me either. I listen to Mr. Ballen podcasts of true "Strange, dark, and mysterious" stories, so all kinds of scary things are popping into my head about what could have happened to them.

RN Kar, here's a video of how they always swim right to the stairs. The stairs also block any access to the liner, unlike having a ladder.

RN None of this makes sense!
Now the new tenant texts me "I will arrive at Independence around 6:36 PM. I’ll let you know if I’m running late."
I replied "We hope to see you this time! LOL"
No reply after that, but none of it makes sense. Why would she give me an arrival time that seems to be approx the amount of time to drive in from Chicago where she is from.

RN, such good exercise for them! I tried letting my labs use the pool, but they shed so much, it kept clogging up the filtration system!
RN, Have you sent another text to your new tenants? Something like, I'll be in and out today and want to be sure to be here when you arrive??

Oh, wait! The new guests! Maybe we covered this before? There is a fairly new scam where people rent rooms but never show up to occupy them but do have MAIL sent there and then at some point show up to get the mail. I forget now what is in the mail, maybe packages of fentanyl? Anyway, by the time the police get around to raiding the place where the contraband was delivered, the packages have been picked up, and the perps long gone. Be VERY suspicious if packages start arriving in their names.

RN I'm not going to continue to contact them. She wanted the room so bad that she insisted on sending the money so I wouldn't give it to anybody else. I told her I don't want any money until they walk in the door, but she insisted. So I consider the room rented to her and her friend until July 21.
I've talked to her on the phone, I've looked her up online, she lives a couple miles from my cousin in Chicago, and everything checks out. She even contacted me the week before she was supposed to come to double check everything was a go.

RN I just got back from voting in the primary for my Congressperson. I got there about 10:30, my time, and I was the 7th person to vote in my town!
Anyway, I voted for the person who I think has a chance to beat the Maga incumbent, instead of who I wanted to vote for. But, if he wins, I think we may have a 50/50 chance of winning instead of 0/100 chance.

Much relieved here as the MAGA challenger did not win the Congressional primary. The incumbent is one of the few Republicans who voted for the Trump impeachment so the MAGA faction went after him. The way our Congressional districts are gerrymandered the Republican incumbent will most probably get reelected but at least he’s not a MAGA Republican.

Grooch, how many people in your town?
Here we have precincts but last time I voted in person and all the many years I worked at the polling place, there would be people lined up when we opened. Not sure how it is now since so many vote by mail and we have early voting in person, too.

Sea, I don't know how many people are in my town, but it's about 4 square miles and most of the people out here are part time residents and are only here during the summer. I just looked it up and according to the last census, we have about 1600 full time residents. And in the summer, it seems like 10,000.

Ah.. my city is about 56,000 and all cities we share borders with are larger 111,000, 170,000, 196,000, 309,000 and 90,000 and our county has over 3 million. One of the smaller counties, in size, in Calir.

Sea, I could never live in a place with so many people. It's become to suburban here for me, but I don't know anywhere else that I don't have to worry about weather disasters or horrible animals as much as other places. Lol!
And my town passed a leaf blower noise law that took effect this year and I'll tell you it is the most glorious law ever! On my days off, that's all I heard all day long was leaf blowers, even with the windows shut. Now I hear nothing and I don't notice the landscapers at all unless I look out the window. It's been very good for my blood pressure.
