RN It came back around 11:45 AM, Seamonkey. And I got a chance to try out using that new power station. It only powers the aquarium heaters for a few minutes and then stops. I don't get it. It still has lots of charge in it. But it did recharge our phones just fine. It does a good job filling tires as well. Everything I didn't get it for. LOL My AA battery powered bubblers worked great. though.

Hmm, well you got to test your system. I remember when I was a kid we had fish tanks and once we went away and the angel fish died but they had been bullying all the other fish so my mom wasn't sad. But then we actually boarded all the fish for longer trips. We came back and all our fish were fine, but this one orange swordfish was in a tank two tanks below. He had managed to jump down there, twice, so they just left him there until we returned and he was reunited with our fish. We had a secure top so he couldn't jump at home. I hope Yolanda is husband has a good visit.

RN I have never heard of fish hopping tank to tank! That is so funny to think about! Yolanda's hubby is going to cut down my dead plum tree and save me 300 bucks. How nice is that? btw, the power just came back after leaving right after my last post.

He would jump out and luckily managed to land in the tank two below. At home we had to keep a cover on the tank. That is a good deal to get that tree removed! Sounds like he is as nice as Yolanda.

RN I felt so bad when I moved one of my tanks and there was a dried up male guppy behind the tank. He must have jumped out when I was had the top of for cleaning. After I posted that the power came back, it went off again until about 6 PM. I was so hot and sweating all day without AC or even a fan.The power was off a good 18 hours, with one hour of power in he middle somewhere. I've been through 3 days of no power, but it was in the winter and it was more fun. Cozy around the fireplace with DH and all the pets, even the bird.

RN, Naja, I got a fan that runs without power for this very reason. You charge it with the power cables like the phone. You should look into one, I don't recall it being that expensive, I think I got mine for about $25. Oh, I found one at Home Depot for $39. Of course there are many that run in the hundreds, LOL. https://www.homedepot.com/p/panergy-10000mAh-Rechargeable-Battery-Jobsite-Fan-with-Light-Hook-270-Pivot-3-Speeds-for-Camping-Power-Outage-Jobsite-THD-D11-O/325075667

RN My busy season officially starts at 1:30 PM today! The red marker is used only for the pit bulls. I don't take any other dogs when they're here. I did once in the past and it was too hard.

RN I am watching a friendly little pit bull mix Deebo. His mom gave me such strict instructions about his food. How to make sure there isn't even one kibble left on the floor from other dogs food, only give him the treats she brought, no swimming because he might swallow chlorinated water, etc. So I figured he may have bad allergies or something. Nope! He is fed the same cheap dry and canned food from Sam's club that I and most of my clients use. His treats are the same treats I always see. None of it is special. Nothing special for allergies or sensitivities of any kind. So I don't get it.

RN, people are weird, Naja. I will note however, my dog can't eat chicken... so he does eat a commercial lamb and rice food. So maybe it's something like that.

My dog can't eat beef. He's never had it. It is thought that beef contributes to cause of CECS (canine epileptoid cramping syndrome) in border terriers in particular.

RN I have figured out she's an over-worrier. She is the only pet parent who randomly throughout the day asks for more updates. All the other pet parents are happy with a couple updates, or if they are repeats, then they are happy with one update. I advertise 1 or 2 updates per day.

RN almost a major “disaster” this morning in the Mack household. Mrs Mack got up this morning and went to the kitchen to make her first cup of coffee but the coffee maker wouldn’t turn on. Got me out of bed with her cry of anguish. 😬 All difference to you tea drinkers amongst us but Mrs Mack is a hardcore coffee drinker. In fact, the one thing I realized 25+ years ago and that was just give Mrs Mack her space until at least one and sometimes two cups of coffee. It has to be a real “emergency” to engage her before then. Luckily we have a fancy coffee maker for our Starbucks-like coffees like cappuccino so not all was loss. Amazon will deliver the replacement machine for the regular coffee maker Wednesday.

RN OMG, I'm with her on that. No coffee is a true emergency! RN This is what it's like when I try to get on the computer in the morning to get business out of the way. The metal thing on the left is the desk leg. I can barely think! LOL

RN, speaking of coffee, does anyone make their own cold brew? I'm thinking of making the switch.

RN I have never been a cold coffee fan. I wish I was. People really seem to enjoy it. I don't even like coffee flavored ice cream or candies. RN As an official TVCH space cadet, while I was putting away groceries, I managed to stick the 18 pack of eggs in the freezer! They all cracked open and froze solid. So, I contacted the dog moms and told them what I did, and they both said it was ok for me to mix scrambled eggs with their dogs' food. So they sure loved their dinner last night!

RN, Kappy, I sortof make my own cold brew but it is just extra coffee that I put in a bottle and stick in the fridge. When it's starting to get hot I make extra when I brew my morning coffee. Then it is already cold in the fridge for the next day. I don't know who to actually cold brew coffee.

I love that the other dogs appear to be telling Tiny Milo to chill out. They've been raised well.
