It’s winter in South America, but that hasn’t kept the heat away. It's hit over 100 degrees Fahrenheit across the region, setting new records for places like Chile. Every day there is a new bout of extreme weather, but this is 100 degrees. In winter. https://washingtonpost.com/weather/2023/08/02/southamerica-record-winter-heat-argentina-chile/

Cloudy and Grayish, with some suspect clouds, LOL. Apparently we may have some surprise thundershowers and clouds from the east.

It is muggy and feels hot even tho it is only 78; temps going up to 97.

Earthquake ... thought we had one, was going to get kitty food served up when the house shook a bit, it was little and quick. Just got notification it was indeed a 3.4 in Alamo.

Hot inland today. 90s to near 100 likely with more sunshine. Muggy too as some tropical clouds move through but less than yesterday. Scatterd showers possible.

Wow- pretty impressive to see the soon-to-be tropical system in the eastern Pacific with a likely track toward California early next week 🌀

This will initially come with a surge of moisture across the Desert Southwest over the weekend.

Then, early next week, depending on how close the storm tracks to Southern California, heavy rain and strong winds will be possible - San Diego and Los Angeles included.

Hilary has strengthened into a Category 2 hurricane off Mexico's Pacific coast and could bring heavy rain to the U.S. southwest by the weekend.

Hazy and gray with a slight tint of blue skies today, LOL. Must be getting some cloud cover from the Arizona Monsoons and Hurricane Hillary.

Currently 65 with 79% humidity, going up to 83.

#HurricaneHilary (#09E) is still a Cat 4 hurricane with winds of 145 mph. It is undergoing an ERC, so the intensification should level off.

A tropical storm watch is up for #SoCal from the Mexico border to the LA County/Orange border. This has *never* happened before. #BB25
