Just busy doing things I didn't get to yesterday. Phoned for an eye doctor appointment, called Kaiser to see if I needed to do anything else for my coverage. I keep getting email regarding the new plan but I can't get the documents to load so the phone call solved that issue, nothing is needed.
Started adding my new visa to all the places I had to delete it! And I finished up the podcast I started yesterday.
Now we have something called "Pumpkin Spice Lattes" happening down in the dining room that I am going to wander down and see exactly what it means.
It would be great if Starbucks had come over but I doubt that is it, hahahahaha.
Oh and I got email cleared, still working on everything else.

I was correct, Starbucks wasn't here, LOL, but Marnee, our Personal Expressions Manager was making the lattee's and they were quite good. She was using the Coffee Mate Pumpkin Spice Cream and then putting whipped cream on them and they were good.
I forgot they did the "local" Alzheimer's Walk this morning and when they got back everyone wanted the lattés, LOL. So when I got down there I was the only one but several other people came down as I finished mine.
Off to see what's happening in twitter.

Sunday ... a day of blessings
Just reading the paper and usual Sunday things. Got the coffee brewing so I refilled some water bottles and cleaned up the kitchen.
Dishwasher is loaded up and ready to go later.
Working on email and twitter, but off to grab my coffee and finish the paper.

Hahahaha, the kitties are having a little war over sitting in the corners of the sofa. LOL, they never sat on the sofa much at the other house, but I have somehow made the corners into the perfect laying place and then you can hit over the back at the other cat trying to take you place.
Funniest thing I have seen in a while, LOL.
Not much else going on. I did a Safeway order, need to think about if I need to add anything to the order it is coming tomorrow.

Grabbed the paper and a yogurt, fed the kitties. Now we are all going back to bed to watch the news and get things started.
Safeway is coming today and I have things on my list I need to do.

Paper is done, refilled the pill container, cleaned up the bathroom and dustbusted the litter.
I think the new litter is better about not tracking, still observing.
Got my eye doctor appointment made, going to the expensive one to see if they can figure out why I have difficulty with my newest glasses. I can see ok, but if I really want to read something or see detail I have to hold them about a half inch out from my eyes. It's like the frames don't sit far enough out. I have had the Kaiser eye doctors try to correct this issue twice with no luck.
So I am going back to the old guy, all the Kaiser eye docs are youngsters, maybe he has had more experience with us oldsters and can solve the problem. I was surprised that I couldn't get an appointment until November 11th!
Off to ride my bike, then work on email and twitter.

LOL. Safeway delivered, got that put away and when I opened the door for them I found I had a box from Overstock.
Turns out it is my comforter. I am amazed at how small the box is that it came in. Got it out of the shipping box and broke that down, then got it out of the actual box.
Sylvester is now in the box being a cat.
I also dusted the living room and put the fall table runner out, kept forgetting to do that and it has been bugging me so I just got up and did it when I remembered again!

Nala was laying in the sun on the living room rug and just came over for a snack, and wow was she warm! Sun is doing a good job today.
General cleaning up ... broke down the chewy box, ready to go to the recycle room with the other boxes. Reorg'd the soda and kibble cabinet so I could fit the rest of the soda bottles in.
Wiped down the kitchen counters and got the dishwasher loaded up. Scooped kitty litter box, dusted the office file cabinet and now enjoying some coffee and clearing email.
Next up I am changing the comforter on the bed and figuring out how many of the shams / pillows I am keeping, LOL.

New comforter on the bed, I did use one set of shams for my pillows, I hung the other ones on the over part of the bedframe. I didn't want to have to get more pillows and they look nice.
Now I need to package up the old comforter and shams, wash the pillow that go with and donate it.
Email and Twitter cleared, and I redid my budget the other day so I think it's time to balance the checkbook and pay any lingering bills.

Sister called and she accepted a new job starting between Nov 7 and 14; the company is moving so once they are in the new place she will start. So happy for her, now she can enjoy her time off without worrying about a job. Just hope it lasts forever!
Redid my list and tried to file away my owners manual for the new fan, but I can't find my warranty folder so I need to spend some time on my file cabinet.
Seems I have reached the point where I need to revisit where I have "stuck" things when I was trying to get settled.
I need to see about redistributing all the cleaning supplies that I have. I think I have them stuck in 3 or 4 different places -- under the bathroom sink, under the kitchen sink, in the pantry and in the milkcrates in the closet. So I think it might be time to bring them all together, figure out what I might actually use and then give away all the stuff I don't want.

I swear, I am cold ... and it is not that cold, I think it is at least 70.
So I went to clean up the bathroom, ran the dustbuster, refilled pill containers, and straightened up the kitchen.
And I am still chilly, now wearing a hoodie and gloves. ... Guess it is time to start having soup for lunch.
Back to work on email and twitter.

LOL, thought I had corrected all the places with my old Visa number but found another today. Kaiser, and they still had the old address which I thought was odd.
Wonder how many more I will find when they try to rebill me for something.

Dipo, do you have a FREE table in your community clubhouse or dining place? OMG, it is the best thing ever at our place (123 over-55 units). You put things there you don't need, and other people take things from there they were wishing they could get, but they don't make them anymore. We did not have a FREE table in the first few years we lived here, and now we do. It is both helpful and fun, or to put it in terms of our era, it is a cosmic blast. Sometimes I will take things, and they are not quite right, so I return them to the free table, and they disappear. I have very rarely had to rescind things I have put on the table.

Holy crap ... Nala made a break for it. I was grabbing the paper and she decided to go out the door, first time she showed any interest.
Naturally she ran down the hallway, scared, as I chased after her, then she started yowling because she didn't know where she was and finally after a couple of trips going back and forth she jumped up on a ledge and I was able to grab her (almost all units have a cute ledge outside their doors where they can put decorations and stuff).
I have gotten my exercise for the day, LOL, and am catching by breath before I get on with my normal morning routine.
I was thinking of reorganizing my closet since I am starting to use the winter / warmer clothes now, just need to shift things so it's a good time to see if there is some better layout. I already have a couple of ideas.
But for now .... feed the kitties, grab some yogurt and read the paper.

Juju, I have been trying to get a "free" table but apparently our Property Manager is OCD and doesn't like the clutter. Already removed one table in the common area because it made it look "junky".
They are talking about putting it on the 4th floor!! I would never go up there and it needs to be somewhere that is easy to get to.
I am going to suggest the Theater Room which is on the first floor and has room in the back where it won't be easily seen from the door.

Yep, the "free table" needs to be right where EVERYBODY goes daily, like, to get their mail daily. I suspect our somewhat OCD person in charge of the clubhouse might cull out "the junk", which is actually fine. Just don't make the same mistake we did and label the table FREE TABLE. Somebody hauled off the table!! Bwahahaha!!
Life goes on in an over-55 community ...

OMG, that is hysterical ... taking the table.
I have been working on my closet and the cleaning supplies project.
Got the summer clothes moved to the back of the closet, swept the floor and pulled out all the stuff that needs to go elsewhere, like sheets to the cleaners, and the laundry stuff I need to get done.
I also cleared out the cleaning supplies from under the kitchen sink, so that is started.
Off to finish clearing email and twitter. Then back to finish up the closet. I was thinking we could hang one of the milkcrates on the wall, then the hamper would fit under it and I could use it for laundry and cleaning supplies. Put that on my sisters' list for tomorrow, LOL>

Interesting that a bunch of people who just joined Twitter in October 2022, and look like bots, have been trying to follow me. Looks like they are gearing up to no control now that Musk has taken over. I just keep blocking them.

Took out a bit of trash and the recycling. Got the old comforter back into it's plastic holder and I added the shams and a pillow that matches.
The rest of the pillows I am going to see if my sister wants and if not put them on the "free" table if they every figure out where to put it.
The kitties like to lay in the corner on the sofa and keep throwing the pillows on the floor, hahahahaha.
Think I am done for the day. Looking forward to breakfast with my sister tomorrow, maybe get some donuts!!

That is not happening to me yet, but in the past 2 days I have blocked many more accounts than I am used to.

Sunday ... A day of preparation for Halloween
LOL, I hope everyone already has their candy ready to go.
Went out to breakfast with my Sister this morning and saw lots of fun Halloween decorations.
Gave her a white / off white jacket that I have never worn in the 5+ years I have owned it. I notoriously can't keep white things white, LOL, so it was just the place I kept my earthquake money in the pocket. She was happy to get it and will wear it often I am sure.
Then I had her tighten up the screws on my desk, I had noticed it was wobblily and requires you to get down on the floor and go under it to tighten ... I don't get down on the floor, LOL, hurts my knees to get up.
Then we put the new dust ruffle on my bed, it looks great.
Now I need to get back to my normal routine, haven't even looked at the paper or played my morning computer games.
Off to do a quick clear of email and twitter, then the paper and maybe a nap.
