I did take out a couple of bags of trash earlier and now that it has cooled off a bit we have had 2 very short power outages.
Apparently 5000 people are without power over in Walnut Creek, no reason has been stated why that has happened.
So odd.

It's Planning Day AND we have moved to the Entrance, Front Porch and Dining Room. Time to clear your 4th of July decorations and wipe down the front door.
I cleaned up the kitchen while the coffee brewed, listened to Taran and did a Safeway order. Yesterday I got the Newsletter out for print and it was distributed this morning.
Have several things on my list for the day plus Bingo at 6:30pm.

Email and socials done, starting my second month of Lazyfit, they tried to give me Bed pilates, hahahahaha. So I picked 28 day Yoga Challenge II.
Today we seem to be doing more arm stuff.
Next up is restocking and dustbusting the bathroom before I hit the showers.

It's Anti-Procrastination Day - perhaps I should unpack my laundry, LOL AND time to spot clean the walls in the dining room of fingerprints and smudges.
I went to the Safety Meeting at 11 and now finishing up the kitchen and getting the dishwasher going. Also time to read the paper, have some yogurt and catch up on BB.

It's Errand Day AND time to spend 15 minutes getting rid of things that don't belong on the porch or entryway.
Dishwasher unloaded, coffee brewed, kitchen cleaned up. Had some lunch trying to determine if I want to get dinner tonight, maybe I will just order a pickup so I don't have to get dressed, LOL.
Off to email/socials and order a dinner.

I got the coffee brewed, took out 2 bags of stinky trash, cleaned up the kitchen and restocked the bathroom.

Dishwasher unloaded and kitchen cleaned up. I did fill up my new ice cube trays, they are silicone, my sister told me she wanted some for Christmas so I bought them, then she relized that she needed ones with 1 inch cubes so they will fit into her water bottle.
So now I am the owner of these and looking for new ones for her, LOL.
Back to Taran and email/socials.

It's Home Blessing Day and we are now in the Kitchen! Time to scrub the stovetop, knobs and all.
I don't need to scrub the stove but I did clean all the old food out of the fridge. My butter said best before 2021, LMAO, and I had some old take out from the Bistro. Once that was done, the coffee brewed and the kitchen cleaned up I had a bit of lunch and then did a Safeway order.
I will probably be working in the bedroom today but I have a list of things so we shall see what I end up doing.
Listened to Taran and I got thru the paper so now it's time for email and socials.

It's Planning Day AND time to clean out that silverware drawer.
I cleaned up the kitchen while I sauteed my home-grown zucchini, squash and red bell peppers. Made an excellent lunch.
Got the rollie loaded up with newspapers/litter and have the other recycling ready to go, plus a bag of trash. Then I vac'd the office and cleaned up the litter area.
I managed to update my Alexa with this month's stuff and I still need to work on the bedroom and bathroom a bit.
Got email cleared, I need to deal with socials now.

It's Anti-Procrastination Day AND time to scrub the kitchen sinks and faucets.
I brewed the coffee while I made some lunch, breakfast for lunch since I had Air-Fried (AF'd) a potato the other day and then didn't eat. So I chopped it up, added some onions, sauteed then added some eggs. Also AF'd some toast and cleaned up the kitchen.
Guess I am ready to say I sent Sylvester over the Rainbow Bridge Saturday. For a few days I have been very sad, Tuesday was the first day I didn't cry when I mentioned him to myself. Nala is confused and looking around the house but today she "caught" a mousie (the toy kind) and announced it to me and required petting and treats as acknowledgement, LOL.
So I have been De-Sylvestering the house, had to remove the pill reminders from Alexa, turned the litter box back around so Nala can use the doorway and last night I pulled the chair out and dismantled his fort. Man is there a lot of cat hair all over.
My chores today is vacuuming the corner and putting that back together, finish reading the paper and do a few more chores around the house.
Probably time to water the plants and I need to get in touch with my Financial Planner. I went to check the balance the other day and it has improved by $125,000!!!!! I need to see what he is doing to secure these funds from the Stock Market Crash that I am sure is coming at some point.

It's Errand Day and time to clean the stove, dishwasher and the refrigerator. Wipe down the doors, handles and surfaces.
My day is Trash Day, LOL. I did get the fort area vacuumed and noticed there was a ton of cat hair behind the nightstand so had to move that and vac there as well. So now I have more boxes to break down and trash.
I ordered some lunch, I really wanted a Meatball sandwich from Mellos but they don't do delivery, surprising since they are a pizza place.
I refilled water bottles, cleaned up the kitchen and got the dishwasher running. Now I need to take out all of that trash and sweep the floors.
Also trying to figure out how to get Nala on some sort of feeding schedule. She doesn't seem to have a routine that she is used to without Sylvester around. So we are working on that. Today is the first day she is napping on the bed like she did before, she "yelled" at me to get up so she could have her spot, hahahahah.
Off to email/socials and Taran.

Got up late so I was busy playing games, reading the paper and planning my day.
Ran down and got a Philly Cheesesteak sandwich for lunch! It was quite good.
Working on email/socials, listening to Taran and I did get the coffee brewed.
Need to go grab my coffee, unload the dishwasher and clean up the kitchen.

Cleaned up the kitchen, brewed the coffee and got ready for my lunch date with friends. I am going to get some flowers and new kitty grass on the way back home so that is one task accomplished.
Still need to read the Sunday paper but I will get to that later.

It's HOme Blessing Day AND we have moved to the Main Bathroom. Time to clean off the flat surfaces in the bathtub, counters, etc. Put things where they belong.
I watered the outside plants, need to finish watering the indoor plants and replenish the kitty water. Lots of projects for the day, also want to make my cake and do a little pantry weeding.
Off to clean up the kitchen, brew the coffee while I listen to Taran, then email/socials.

Finished sweeping and got the kitchen put back together. Nuked up my lunch - had some fab spaghetti/meatballs yesterday, plenty of leftovers. I just wrapped up the meatballs and froze them for the future pasta dinners, LOL.
I also completed my Health Directive - it has been on my list since 6/5/2025 - Wow, I didn't realize I had had that email that long! It wasn't really hard to do, but did make me think a little bit on some of the questions. Now I just need to get it signed and them distributed to the places that need it.
My sister already knows my wishes, we have talked about it when Covid first hit and people had to be on ventilators. Anyway, that is a nice task to have done!
Back to lunch and other stuff.

It's Planning Day AND time to clean behind the toilet, YUK!!
This morning NALA decided to run out the front door just as we were starting our day. She went down 3 hallways while I kicked off my slippers and ran after her calling. She finally stopped and just yeowled!! I grabbed her and finally got back to my apartment. My breath was so heavy and hard, I could hardly catch up. Then I started coughing so much my eyes were watering. I don't normally go walking that far with sitting down for a rest!!!
Anyway, I got 300 steps before I even had coffee or yogurt. Nala acted like nothing happen once we were back home.
I didn't realize it but she gave me a big scratch across my chest. I saw it when I went to get dressed for the day. But I took a allergy pill and once again it made me very sleeping and I just woke up at 1.30. These pills never used to make me so sleepy so I need to research what is going on, I did notice they expired 6/26 so I will buy some new ones.
I got the coffee brewed and cleaned up the kitchen, loaded up the dishwasher and got the trash ready to go.
My plan for the day is trash out, socials/email, Taran, refill water/soda bottles, play comes games, dinner at 5pm, Bingo at 6.30 and that will be the day.
Oh and I think I will order a couple of things from the Bistro, I don't have any extra food in the Fridge and I need to do a Safeway order too.

Dipo, you might want to put some rubbing alcohol or some type of antibacterial on the scratch. I'm sure you'll be fine because Nala is an indoor cat, but cat scratches apcan cause nasty things.

What Grooch said. I have had cat scratch fever - back when I had three cats - it manifested as a lump on my groin - doctor gave me an antibiotic. It is likely chronicled in some archive on this message board.

Yeah, once I found it I did treat it, but I didn't even know she did it until I was getting dressed. I didn't feel a thing and she scratched me through clothing because she was hanging on.
My sister has had cat scratch fever, I swear she gets all the things I should be dealing with. She is ten years younger than me and needs a hip replacement!!!

Did I mention that yesterday I had 300 steps before I even got coffee or dressed chasing down my Nala!! She did pay some rent, LOL, last night when I came home from Bingo I found TWO mousies (toys) on my bed, hahahahaha.
So far today I have cleaned up the bathroom, scrubbed down the kitty litter box, dustbusted the floors and brewed the coffee. Then I went and did a Safeway order, cleaned up the kitchen and put the giant boxes out in the hallway.
Now I am working on email/socials while I listen to Taran and get caught up on BB.

I had a noon dental cleaning today. Everything has changed, a new receptionist, a new hygienist!! It was ok but my lips are just now getting their feeling back, LOL.
So back home listening to Taran, finally having some coffee and trying to get my morning chores done!
Off to clean the kitchen and get the dishwasher going.

It's Clean Your Purse/Car Day AND time to wash the rugs/toilet covers anything that could have typical bathroom odors.
I am working on "hot spots". I had a couple of things hanging in the bathroom, got those put where they belong, finally put away the laundry I got some time ago and reloaded the stuff I had been piling up in the closet.
Then I went and unloaded the dishwasher, cleaned up the few plates in the kitchen (there is a lot less dirty plates now) and have been working on email/socials.
Got the new menu for next week, looks pretty good so I am going to skip ordering anything from the Bistro.
I have housekeeping tomorrow so it's good to get all the little things taken care of.

Saturday ... a day for fun ...
I have housekeeping today so have been getting the house together. I stuck a fort-type kitty box behind the chair in my bedroom and got a bunch of stuff hiddden away in the closet.
Cleaned up the kitchen, brewed the coffee and it's ready to go, living room scratchers are up on the chair.
Still have a few things to deal with but that can happen when she gets here.
