It's Home Blessing Day AND now we move to the Master Bedroom, time to spend 15 minutes under your bed! I only have a rug and a kitty heatpad under there, LOL. The heatpad will come back onto the bed once it gets a bit colder.
Today is trash day! I swear I have so many empty boxes that need to go out and the newspapers and cans need to be recycled so it will take several trips to get it all gone. So that's the goal for the day.
Plus I have Taran and Rachael to listen too, Lazyfit for exercise and I need to make a Safeway order.
Off to put on some good shoes, make the coffee and clear email.

It's Planning Day AND time to attack the clothes pile, either on a chair, on top of the hamper, dresser or at the foot of your bed.
I was up early and got the kitchen cleaned up and dishwasher going. Was almost out of kitty plates.
I woke up around 3.30am and felt like I had just broken a fever, finally got some sleep and feel weird today. I think I will take a "sick" day and see how it goes.
I have a dental appointment on Thursday and I hate to cancel it.
I made some coffee and now it's time to read the paper and play some games.

It's Anti-Procrastination Day - maybe I will get the boxes out to the bins -- AND time to clean off the nightstands! Get the tissues, cups and stuff that has piled up, toss and put away.
I cleaned up the kitchen, unloaded the dishwasher, fed the kitties - which they ignored, swept the office floors, and moved out the rug. I am going to mop the bottom of it since it seems to have "chalk" from the kitty litter smashed into it. Or is from when housekeeping mops around it so the litter melts, I don't know. Anyway my morning chores are done.
I did cancell my appointment tomorrow, I am still feeling weird and keep running a low grade fever. Just now when I finished my chores, that I do while I sit on the step-stool, I felt dizzy, hot and clammy. So it was rescheduled to Nov 6 and reg Doc is next week.
Taking my yogurt and paper and coffee and going back to bed.

Feeling a bit more normal, so I cleaned up the bathroom a bit, dustbusted the floors and cleaned the sink. Then I gathered trash from the kitchen and took it and the newspapers out to the bins.
For some reason, Sylvester isn't eating today, I gave him some catnip and found we are out of his Pork Treats. Off to Chewy

It's Errand Day AND time to clear the dressers! Get rid of anything that is not necessary!
I feel better this morning, I noticed I was sniffling last night so I took an allergy pill, that seems to have done the trick.
My plan today is to finish up the living room, I need to mop the back of the office rug, take out the boxes and then sweep the living room. Oh and I need to sort the cat food into the pantry.
For now some email, the paper, yogurt, Perry and some computer games.

I just realized that I feel back to normal today! YEAH!! I just cleaned the kitty box, we had a little butt over the edge action, LOL.
Sylvester seems to be feeling better too, so trying to get some chores done and I am going down to dinner for the first time all week.
Maybe I will even take out the boxes. They had their first Resident Council meeting today. I didn't go because I didn't want to disrupt the new board. I will go next week.
Off to clear email and catch up on stuff.

Dusted the office area and put the litter box back together. Watered some plants and refilled my pill boxes.
And miracle of miracles, I grabbed the rollie and got the two million boxes out of the house and to the bins, LOL.
Then I rolled it in and sat in it while I put away the 2 boxes of catfood in the pantry. Lots of chores are done.
And now I am hot, LOL, and need to sit and cool off.

It's Home Blessing Day AND we are now in Zone 5 - the living room, family room, or den. Time to spend 15 minutes getting rid of anything that does not belong in your living room.
Sylvester insisted on another dish of food in the kitchen, LOL, so I went and fed him and dealt with all the old kitty food dishes. Also cleaned up the litter boxes
Now it's time to get back to my normal routine and have some yogurt, the newspaper and Perry Mason.

Newspaper and Perry - done. Then I refilled water bottles while I brewed the coffee, got the dishwasher unloaded and reloaded.
Did some refrigerator management of all the food I have in there, LOL. And did some research on new apartments to move to, found a couple of good ones with Washer/dryers in the unit - which is the one reason I will move. Now I am going to go see if I can purchase a portable one for my current home, then I will need to do some calculations.
Off to work on the Newsletter and do some research.

Hahahahaha, you guys are too funny. I am looking around because I know they are going to raise the rent. Most of the new places I have seen don't have the food provided so I have to do some research on meal kits, etc.
You guys have any ideas? Even if I do move I can still get copies of the menu from my friends. That might work out well because the thing that was so annoying about cooking was trying to figure out what to make every day, LOL.
I have found one place that looks good, has a washer and dryer in the unit, is newer built so the appliances aren't so out of date, and I would save about $1500 per month. I think with that savings I can pay for my own housekeeping(it would be better) and figure out a food plan, LOL.
Anyway, just something I am thinking about.

It's Planning Day AND time to go Sofa and Chair diving! This means to throw off those cushions and dig out all of the things that have been swallowed up by the sofas and chairs.
Brewed the coffee while I cleaned up the kitchen. Sat out on the balcony and thought about things I would have to deal with before moving - like take the shredding down to the shredding company, get rid of the boxes of books so I don't move them, donate the 5 reams of paper to the Resident Council, LOL.
For now I am working on email, social media, the top two items on my list. Then I also need to research some food service stuff and how much housekeeping would be. I think I will email my friend and see what her company offers.
So much to do, plus I want to give the one place a call to see when I could come and look at it. If I don't like it the whole thing becomes moot, LOL. But it would put me back into my former neighborhood - I would be closer to my Doctors, Vet, and a lot restaurants that I like, plus there is a Starbucks on the corner!

So I did a little research on Safeway Ready Meals and found all the ones I like here, meatloaf w/mashed and green beans, chicken w/mashed and green beans, salmon, Chef's salad and other stuff. Funny it is all cheaper than here, LOL. All I have to do is get dinner rolls and maybe some of their soups. Hmmm, I guess I need to get serious about this.
Email is cleared had a nice chef's salad and fruit for lunch. Guess it's time to exercise.

Holy crapola!!! I take like TWO days off from reading all of the threads because I am in countdown to liftoff to going to TX for the winter, and found out Dipo might be moving.
And I was about to say told you so about taking over running the place, when I read further and found out it could be about laundry!
How about just a place with elevators so you don't have to climb stairs and haul laundry to get clean undies? But I DO now know about the sheer indulgence of having a washer-dryer INSIDE YOUR OWN HOUSE!!! Last year in TX, after 24 years of mostly going to South Padre Island for the winter (we retired very young and are still alive), we had a full-sized washer dryer stack unit IN our condo. It was heaven. We are renting the same place this year. Will be there in a couple days! ACK!!!
And who knew laundry could be an influencing factor of our golden years??? The things they never warned us about.

It's Errand Day -- boy did I have errands AND time to prep the living room for holiday decorations. Put away stuff that doesn't belong to make room for decorations.
I went to Kaiser today, started out at the "shot clinic" - got a flu and covid shot, then went to the lab and had bloodwork done, then went to the doctor for my annual physical. Found out a lot of things I was concerned about were normal, LOL, the dents from my compression socks are from water retention - not dehydration which is how I was treating it, LOL. Plus when we went for Chinese the other day I did notice a big difference in the swelling ankle the next day.
I also had concerns about memory, she gave me the trump test and I forgot one word, so I am going to do a memory consult because it will be a good idea to have a baseline. And finally she said my heart was beating a little erratically - I do notice that occasionally so we are going to have an EKG done.
Then I went to look at the Apartment... Apparently they lowered the rents this morning, LOL, so now it is about $150 cheaper. And the locations are good but the Elevator is at the south end of building 1 and the apartment is in building 2, apparently there is a catwalk attachment to connect the two buildings. It does have central air and heat, plus the washer/dryer in the unit. And they are very nice, but now I am in a dilemma because I want to get away from stairs and the 2 available units are on the 2nd, and 3rd floors. I did find out they have another smaller property where I could get a ground floor apartment, but no washer/dryer in the unit. I am thinking about that one because it wouldn't be any difficulty to walk over to the laundry since it is on the ground floor as well.
So much stuff to consider. Now, I am finally home!! so it is time to get some things done like email! Run the dishwasher, you know, normal chores for the day.

It's Clean your Purse and Car Day AND finish up whatever you need to in the living room.
This morning I got the dishwasher unloaded while brewing the coffee, then played some computer games and tried to get my body stretched out and to stop being sour. Between the shots and walking twice the amount of steps as usual I was sort of sore all over, LOL.
Now that I am up and moving, less soreness and my one arm is only sore if I lay on it, so I won't do that.
Anyway, I took out 2 bags of trash and 2 bags of recycling, cleaned up the kitchen and office a bit and next on my list is to clean up the kitty throw up in the bedroom -- they have been busy!
But first I will clear email and catch up on social media. Also I want to rework the numbers for my move, there are a couple more costs to go there - it does seem fiscally irresponsible for me not to move so I need to be sure the numbers work, otherwise I stay here and keep looking around. But the manager told me most people are reducing rents now because not many people move around this time.
Off to email.

Saturday ... a day to enjoy the sunshine ...
Opened up the balcony and did a bit of pruning the geranium, it might be time to ditch it and get a new one. It is pretty old and looking a bit sad. Then I swept the balcony.
Next I cleaned up the kitchen a bit and brewed the coffee. I did get my notice of rent increase, it is ridiculous so I need to do some calculating and see what number would work for me to stay. I already found another project to check out in the area I used to live.
I need to get thru email and then play some games and have some yogurt.
