Good job, Dipo. Yep, write some occasional stuff, which people will be thrilled with.
Which reminds me I need to write something/anything to validate my cover of being on the website committee, which I volunteered for until I found out the website is Wordpress, which is like 1990's programming, and you have to memorize EVERYTHING in order to be able to use it, and I am not willing to devote the time to learn ancient technology where NOTHING is intuitive. So I agreed to write articles of general interest with the hook that you have to go to the website to read them, but I have been remiss since the pandemic, when nobody was doing anything anyway.
I am sure things will soon resolve for both of us.

My yoga show is on today, I am so excited and ready to begin!
Forgot to run the dishwasher last night so I have it going now. I did remember to gather some extra stuff, like the glass the toothbrush sits in to charge, and the coffee pot.
Today is the "Community Family BBQ", I hope the weather stays cool enough for them to use the outside. I think this is the 3rd event they have tried to have outside and everytime they have had to move it inside because of heatwaves!
I noticed yesterday they had set up all sorts of dining areas out in the courtyard, and on Wednesday they planted some new flowers all around the project. Plus there are great decorations in the dining room and lobby. They are sort of cowboyish, but I guess that really is BBQ related. Looks great.
Off to Yoga.

LOL, Yoga was fun, harder than I thought but I got a good stretch. Nala wasn't a big fan and insisted on getting pets while I was sitting on the sofa doing the poses, LOL.
Now I can clear my email and twitter. Can't start my coffee until the dishwasher is done!

LOL, I really want to establish a website here so need to research how to do that. A lot of these people don't think they have computers, when asked they say no, but minutes later they talk about using their tablets. And of course, almost all of them have cell phones.
The property has been getting them all Alexa's but that is more for a safety issue, like calling their families or requesting help if they fall.
I don't know if there is a way to somehow make a website work/coordinate with Alexa.
Oh well, a project to work on.

Dustbusted the bathroom before I showered! I swear this supposed lighter litter, while light, seems to spread and track more than the other stuff I had. So experiment FAIL!!
Does anyone no of a litter that has very little tracking???????
I used the toothbrush on my earrings, I noticed they didn't seem that sparkly, and I swept the closet and living room. So funny when I moved the clothes hamper out (I was thinking of laundry today but I think that will be another day), a couple of big "fur dustbunnies" came out, therefore, the sweeping of the closet.
Email got cleared but now I will work on twitter.

Today was the Community Family BBQ ... Excellent food and entertainment plus a great bar, they had bourbon, LOL. There were some guys really enjoying the bourbon, hahahahahaha.
My sister really enjoyed it and was helping out a bit (even though she wasn't supposed to). Plus she brought me some paintings she had in her closet that I could put up over my bed.
They are perfect, I have to remember to write her a letter thanking her so she has proper documentation when I die, don't want anyone to think they are mine and she has to pay taxes on their inheritance.
A Boy Scout group was here to help out and they were so cute running around asking if anyone needed anything. At one point I saw them taking wine to people and laughed, I am sure they weren't supposed to, and the Scout Master finally noticed and took it from them and served it himself, LOL.
REally good event and I have a bunch of leftovers and feel a bit buzzed from the wine I drank -which was pretty good.

Oh, I forgot, we also put my metal witch (normally it is stuck into a plant), sequined bat and witches hat out on the wall at my apartment.
I also had put my mesh basket up so that when they drop stuff off there is a place to put it.

Yes, the Boy Scouts were very attentive getting that wine. I was cracking up, watching them run it over to several people before the adults noticed, hahahahahahaha.
Just relaxing this morning, I need to review my "monthly schedule" and mark my calendar for all the things I want to attend. Plus they said there is a "Costume Contest", can't wait to see what that turns up, LOL.
Got the dishwasher unloaded and reloaded, and straightened up the kitchen. Got email cleared, looking at twitter, and off to finish reading the paper.

Got all my activities logged into my calendar. I normally check the Community Calendar early in the morning, then promptly forget what was detailed, LOL, so I also write it on my daily calendar that I see the most.
Redid my list of things to accomplish this week and now I think I will go play some more computer games.

Sunday !! A day for reflection !!
It is lovely out, a bit cloudy, I think there is another hurricane down in Mexico.
OMG, could they make the directions for Frontline any tinier on the package, LOL. I know my cats didn't have fleas when we moved here, but I have noticed them scratching and I have these little tiny red dots on my ankle. Sister says they are probably flea bits and I was thinking, there are a ton of little tiny dogs running around the hallways here, plus they could hop a ride on the newspaper, housekeeping staff, delivery boxes. I also wondered if they could come in when they vaccuum.
Anyway all that leads to the fact I bought some Frontline a month or so ago just in case and I am going to put it on Sylvester, he seems the itchiest. But boy were all the instructions and warnings tiny on that box.
Might go out to dinner tonight, we haven't had Mexican in a while but I would be up for just about anything.
Looking forward to brunch and I have gotten thru most of the Sunday paper. Off to grab my coffee and clear some email.

So my friend found a fabulous place for dinner last night called The Corner Kitchen. Just a little place with maybe 4 tables and a counter, couple of TV's tuned to sports and FABULOUS FOOD.... Plus they have Gluten Free, Vegan and Regular options.
We were talking to the owners who said they were so frustrated that they couldn't find places to get their particular food needs, vegan, pescatarian, gluten-free, that they decided to open up.
It was excellent. I had a perfect Wedge salad, shrimp skewers and french fries. Others had the sliders (excellent), the steak skewer with a roasted veggie skewer over rice, all voted excellent.
I had a wine (it was a half bottle which was just the right amount) and apparently the tap beer is an IPA that was excellent, so I think we have a new place!!
So far today I haven't done much, got a late start and just now brewing my coffee. Off to grab the coffee and clear email.
Oh and post a yelp review.

Did my review, it was fun. Also cleaned up the kitchen and finished the paper.
Dustbusted the bathroom and I was working in the office and noticed my file cabinet was terribly dusty so I got a rag and the plege and cleaned that, then wiped down the bar counter as well.
Now working on more email and twitter.

Meeting up with my friend over at the Moose Lodge ... I have been very curious about the Moose Lodge, it is on the corner down from my home. Anyway, I saw a facebook post from a friend saying she was having Thursday cocktails at the Lodge. I asked if it was the one here, I wasn't sure if there was more than one in town. And she was suprised that I was so close. Anyway she was planning to be there Today, so I am going over for lunch. Can't wait to see her.
Other than that I plan to do a little prep work for Housekeeping tomorrow. Need to put away a few things and I need to do some dusting and stuff in the closet. Housekeeping doesn't really do anything in there but mop the floor.
Off to finish clearing email and see what is going on with twitter.
Oh and I need to do a Safeway order, almost out of yogurt.

Safeway order coming between 5 and 9, just got the receipt and I got everything but the donuts, LOL. Safeway is keeping me from having tooo much sugar, hahahahaha.
Had a really fun time at the Moose Lodge, had some good margaritas ... still not sure what they do over there but it's only $75 per year membership. Looks like they do a bunch of fundraiser drives but I am not sure what they support. Oh well I will look at the membership document and see.
Time to go get caught up on my games.

Bigdog's brother has been a Moose Lodge member in a University town in Illinois in a mostly farming area for many years, and when we go visit, we ALWAYS go to the Moose Lodge for some sort of meal if not a couple of meals. Everybody is friendly, and the food good, and prices charged are very reasonable. And when we are there, we are Moose people. And that's about all I know.

Housekeeping Day!!! and it's the one who does a really good job. I have moved the bar stools out and picked up all the floor kitty toys and scratchers. I put away stuff that is normally out on my kitchen counters so there is a clear field to cleaning. I'm all ready.
Off to clear email, read the paper and have some yogurt.

Got thru the paper, email and twitter. And my smoke alarm chirped at me! Just once. It happened the other day as well but I thought it was a sound from my laptop.
This time I was sitting at my desk when it chirped so I know that is where it came from.
Then around 1 ish I got a call that Stephanie, the fabulous Housecleaner, wasn't going to make it today. She will come tomorrow.
So I put down the kitty scratchers and a couple of other things so the kitties would know it was safe today, LOL.
It does crack me up that I get my house a lot more cleaned up when I know we are getting housekeeping. I want all the floors to get a good cleaning so I took the bar stools out and put them on the balcony. I looked out there and Nala was laying across the top of the stools like a centerfold model, LOL.
Guess I will check email and twitter again, then play some games.
It is survivor night!! and I should try to actually watch the show, I haven't been paying much attention when it's on.

Stephanie just came by and said I am up next for housekeeping! YEAH !! So I put the scratchers back up off the floor, bathroom kitty box is on the bed (that confused Nala a bit), made a final check of the kitchen and grabbed my coffee.
Once she is done and I get the house back in order I have a few cleaning things on my list.
Now I will work on computer stuff so I can stay out of her way.

House all clean!! Stephanie did an excellent job but I need to do come detailed dusting to my bookcases and knicknacks.
Got some other stuff done, ordered some replacement toothbrush heads, new kitty grass and Christmas gift.
That reminds me that I need to email Sister and see what she wants for Christmas, I already have one gift that I think she will enjoy but we have a deal to not "re-clutter" each others homes, LOL. So I need to know what, specifically, she would like for Christmas.
This has also made me think about what do I need/want. I really have everything so definitely need to think about this. I should find a "Spa" I like so I can get pedicures and massages .. that would be a good gift for me.
Got thru all my email and most of twitter. Need to get the stuff off the balcony and then I can finish up twitter .... lots of interesting things today there.

Late start today but I did manage to "edit" the Community Newsletter and send that off to the editor.
And I already got thru email, so now it's time for coffee, LOL.

I swear, we good a very good vacuuming yesterday and I still had to get the dustbuster out today. I hate kitty litter, LOL.
The meeting was fun, really just a discussion of what is on the monthly calendar. One lady asked for someone to come and teach us how to sharpen knives, hahahahahaha. That got nixed rather quickly and I just thought to myself, guess they are afraid some of us might stab a few others, hahahahaha.
Great dinner tonight ... meatloaf or cod.

Good grief, just had to stop my Visa. Got a message that there were some fraudulent charges and I went to BofA online and there were a bunch of weird charges. I had noticed a charge yesterday from Ancestory.com that I meant to call about today and forgot. But there were a bunch of charges that were declined from places I didn't know as well.
So now my card is cancelled and the new card is coming in 7 to 10 days!!! So annoying.
