2 loads of laundry going, I was only thinking I had one but I took the towels just in case and it seems I had a bathroom rug on the bottom of the hamper. So I ended up with 2 loads, which is fine, timer set.
I must remember to do laundry when I have one load! It is so much easier to go up the stairs to the laundry than all the way around the building to get to the elevator. Wish they would have put one of the elevators on this side of the buildings instead of both on the other side.
Anyway, getting my exercise in today, with the walking and stair climbing. It is easy to go up and down these stairs and bringing the hamper down is much easier than up.

Thanks Wargod, I get an occasional pang and have one final visit for the crown on the 25th.
I know what you mean about those warnings, they are very startling.
Glad you haven't gotten hit with any flooding.

Laundry done ... but I have clothes that did not get dry .... So annoyed. I used a different dryer and it is on the side where the comforter didn't get totally dry so I think those dryers have some sort of issue.
Won't be using those again.
One dryer load was dry, now folded hung and put away. The line dry stuff is laying around the kitchen and the bed is covered with clothes drying.

Dipo, a reminder, just in case - when we are in Texas, Bigdog does the pay machine laundry, and he simply CANNOT force himself to follow the one washer, one dryer rule. So he puts two wash loads in one dryer and comes home with all sorts of wet laundry that he strings all over the condo. I blather on about one load, one dryer, two loads, two dryers, but it keeps happening.

Hahahahaha, Juju, I have been following your rule but I guess I just got a bad dryer, so annoying.
And I even take some of the stuff out of the wash because I have delicate bags that have to line dry so the loads are even smaller. I had 2 loads and 2 different dryers, so now I know the dryers to use, LOL.
Anyway it will all be dry by morning and I can put it away.
I did get the liner trimed off the shower curtain and I taped the excess onto the bottom of the actual curtain, it looks like a little ruffle added to the bottom and adds just enough to keep it from getting in the tub. The tub has a cut out for easy step in access and that is where water was getting on the floor and the curtain was getting wet. So this should solve the problem and still look cute.

Today is Housekeeping day so I am getting ready for that. Yesterday I got all the water bottles refilled and put away.
This morning I folded all the clothes that are finally dry, LOL, and got them put away.
A few more things need to be moved to the balcony and the kitty toys picked up.
But first, time to read the paper and have some yogurt.

Housekeeping came and went in about 30 minutes. (the really good cleaner spends about 50 minutes) I got the one who doesn't do as thorough a job. She never does the "Swiffer dusting rod" on the shelves and tables. But she does a good job on the bathroom, kitchen and floors, so that makes me happy.
I already had planned on dusting the bookcases tomorrow because even the little Swiffer thing they do doesn't get all the knick-knacks.
Once these floors dry I will need to put the house back together, LOL.

Should be a nice day ... I got the house back together and was able to open the house last night since it had cooled down.
Today I planned to do a detail dust of the house to stay up on that but other than that no real chores are planned.
Having Chinese food for lunch, yum!!
Off to have some yogurt and read the paper.

Had a great day yesterday, went off to have lunch with my friend and had to leave early so I could take the "bus". Ended up finding out where "Caspers" was located. I have heard about it forever but never been and had no clue where it was, LOL, then off to Target to pick up another guest, then drop me off. I couldn't get there too early because they don't open until 11:30, so as I told Leslie, the bus driver, you can't just throw me out in the heat, hahahahaha.
Anyway then I went to Starbucks and she picked up me later that afternoon. Have some great leftovers so I skipped dinner last night .. too full.
Sister was expected today but she called when I was going to lunch and her puppies both had to had surgery. She found a wound on one dog's leg and apparently it had absessed (she was so upset because she said he, the dog, wasn't limping or showing any distress) and the other had gotten a foxtail in his ear. Anyway both into the vet and surgery so she can't come over today.
We didn't have anything special planned just wanted to get together, so now I have a free day to lounge around, LOL. YEAH
Off to read the paper and have some yogurt.

Sunday !! Rest and Relaxation
Although since I didn't do much yesterday I am not sure how much more rest I need, LOL.
BUT .... Today we are having Mimosa's!!! So I may just play games and read books today.
I did go ahead and purchase some hangers, which annoys me because I donated so many to Goodwill over the past few months, and some glow in the dark tape, plus a small fan.
I was planning on shopping with my sister for these things yesterday but since we didn't go I figured I would just get them online.
Still need to dust the house and I ran the dishwasher this morning because I totally forgot last night.
Not much else going on.

So excited!! I get to watch Perry Mason tonight, LOL. I just finished up with Comcast to get HD stations. For some reason the channel that shows Perry changed to HD so you can't get on the normal plan. Need to check out what I get with all the other HD channels as well.
So far looks like the only addition in the METV channel, which is what I wanted.
I pulled out my Goodwill box and added some stuff to it and got my bin out to put on the balcony. I have noticed that Nala likes to lay on the bin I have out there (that I need to return to my friend), so I will replace it with my bin and all will be happy.
Got thru email and twitter. Time to do a Safeway order.

Hahahahaha, I love Perry Mason, so fun to watch him us logic on people.
Today will just be normal chores, I need to update my emergency contact list and create a task list for my demise. It occurred to me that if my friend was contacted she doesn't really know how to reach my sister and vise versa. So that needs to be done. So that is on the agenda.
Plus I need to dust the house, that is my housekeeping chore that I do instead of the housekeepers. I do want to find out how to get in touch with Housekeeping, I was wondering when/if they clean the ceiling fan. And I was wondering if they have a list, like a quarterly list, of things they do. I mean I wonder if they consider cleaning the fridge or stoves at some point, or if that is up to the resident.
Now that I have been here a while it is time to get a bit involved. We just got a notification that we can't tip (ie for the holidays) but the Resident Council will take in a donation and distribute to the "qualified employees".
Well that brings up all kinds of questions for me, who is a qualified employee? And how is the money distributed? Is it equally divided, if not, who decides who gets what. I know a bunch of people are happy to see me here because I am younger but when I start asking questions they may not be as excited, hahahahaha.
Off to listen to my podcast, clear email/twitter and read the paper.

Got thru the podcast / email / twitter and paper.
Took out some trash on the way to dinner. Had a great dinner!! It was Pork Chili Verde, and it had a nice spice / seasoning to it.
Did I mention I got my bill for my rent and they finally figured out that they had been paying my PG&E bill for a part of May, June and July. I got it switched over in late July, and I wondered if they would ever notice.
Anyway I went to move money so I can pay rent, etc. It always throws me off because I used to pay my mortgage after my SS check came, but the timing doesn't work for that so I have to move money from savings. It all works out in the end but is still weird for me.
So that is done. I watered the plants and did some general cleanup. OH and I reported my ant issue to the front desk. Even though I solved the problem it occurred to me they might have a pest control guy. And they do, so eventually the pest guy will be stopping by.

Went and got a haircutt, looks really cute and I think it will work out fine. Put it on the calendar so I don't forget for 6 weeks.
Cleaned up the kitchen, cleaned out the fridge of old food. Waiting on my Safeway order and it seems that there is no yogurt in the store!!! Amazing.
So now I will have to run down in the morning and get some yogurts and then I guess when my sister comes on Saturday make a stop at the store. It is so weird that I have such a problem getting yogurt from this store, I should have remembered to make some substitution recommendations. I am surprised they didn't substitute something since I didn't say No Substitution.
Off to finish the paper and find something to have for lunch, LOL.

Just got back from grabbing 3 yogurts and a couple of hard boiled eggs at the dining room. Grabbed the paper.
Off to start the coffee and listen to my podcast.
It is "crown" day so I leave for the dentist at 11:15 and won't be back until the afternoon.
OH and when I got back I noticed a line across my hall floor, it looked like I had spilled something across it. I turned on the light and it was a huge ant trail!!!! They were going for my trash can. I couldn't believe it. Sprayed the raid and will report it later to the front desk.

While I was getting ready to go to the dentist the pest guy came by and syringed some stuff under the baseboards where the ants came in by the kitchen and the bathroom. Told me the Raid would only deter them to another place, but it has worked for me, LOL.
So I was able to "mop" up the floor and and trash can where I had sprayed everything. There was a ton of dead ants. Anyway I figured out it was sort of my fault since I had had a yogurt cup that had a few ants on it (I had set it on my nightstand for less than 30 minutes while I was reading the paper one morning) and I had thrown it in the trash can.
I figure one of them got out and went and told all their friends that the trash can had some good stuff in it. Anyway I have sprayed the inside of the trash can as well.
Back from the Dentist with my new crown in place. So far so good but I am going to go and take some advil. That side of my face is still numbed and my smile is not quite back, but I was able to manage my dinner.

I slept a really long time. I didn't realize how nervous I was about the crown thing and that I didn't really get a good night's sleep on Wednedsay.
Last night I could hardly keep my eyes open at 10pm, LOL.
Today I am going out for lunch at Yans!! and then maybe attend the Resident's Council to see what that is all about.
Plus I need to call PG&E and find out why my bill still shows Pending Start ... I want to know how much my bill is, I need to make a new budget since I have moved here!!
Off to lunch.

Almost thru the paper, BB podcast done, made the coffee and refilled water bottles.
Then I dustbust the bathroom floor for rogue kitty litter. I think at my old place I didn't notice because the tile was light colored but here it is dark so I see those little kitty litter rocks!
Decided that I should add dustbust the bathroom to my morning routine. It really is amazing how much there is in a day.
Forgot that I was planning to pick up some yogurt with my sister today but since she isn't coming I need to do a Safeway order.

OMG, the REsident Council is like a condo board but apparently the Manager of the Project likes to be in control (and he shouldn't have anything to do with the board) so there is some "possible" limitation to what is relayed to the residents. It also seems to have something to do with who is President.
I missed the most recent meeting but I guess they meet the last friday of every month so I will try and go to that and give my suggestions. Like distribute the minutes to all the residents, and if we don't want to use all that paper, create a website page for this project only, where they can post stuff.
Anyway, I just got back from the Podiatry meeting ... I didn't know that Kaiser got rid of their podiatry group (at least that is what someone said) so it's not available under insurance. It was interesting and I think some people will avail themselves of the service.
Time to play computer games and enjoy the afternoon.

Got the dishwasher loaded and run last night. So this morning got the dishwasher unloaded.
Also refilled pill container, and did some general kitchen clean up.
