I remember that Juju2bigdog. I lived for 20 years only in the western part of Washington and remember those warnings. Had to laugh when my son and I were in Tacoma four years ago and drove past our old house. The present owner was in the front yard and we struck up a conversation with him. One of the things he mentioned was how hard it had been the previous year to get air conditioning installed in the house. My son and I both chuckled. Never had AC in a house or car when we lived up there.

I am so happy that we finally moved into a house that had a/c in Western Washington state. We did that shade/fan/open windows/close windows all-day dance for 16 years in a house with large single-paned west-facing windows, and it got sort of old.
It was only supposed to go up to 79 here today, but my temperature gauge said 84. It didn't actually feel that hot. Forecast for tomorrow is mostly cloudy with high of 68.

I know what you mean Juju, while my new place doesn't have central AC, it is a much better AC set up and I have enjoyed it and how well it cools my house.
I still prefer the windows open and fresh air, but when it gets hot I have no issue turning on the AC.

This stunning rainbow cloud was spotted in China🤯 It's called a pileus cloud, or scarf cloud, and is formed by condensation when the air rises quickly. The color comes from sunlight diffracting off water droplets and ice crystals 🌈
