Thank you, everyone. I've been at work for almost 4 hours and the owners son has not said 1 word to me yet. Not even good morning.
I want my cement blocks back.
We shall see what the afternoon brings.

Right now I had a mildly pita of a customer who had brought his dog with him.
He put the dog down on the floor to pay. When I came around the counter to help take the plants to his car, I saw the puddle of pee on the floor. Ugh.
I went back behind the counter, grabbed a roll of paper towels, handed it to him and said, "Your dog had an accident".
He cleaned it up.
The great thing about getting old is that you don't give a you know what anymore.

A customer bought 8 rolls of weed barrier over the phone and sent his gardener to pick them up. That was 3 days ago.
He asked if he could return the rolls he didnt use and I said yes, as long as they're not opened.
Well, he just called me to ask if the rolls are made out of plastic. Yes, most weed barriers are made with some type of plastic, and thats why people don't use it anymore, and besides, the weed seeds land on top of it and grow there anyway after the first year. But I told him I didn't know and I would look. I got a roll, looked at the label and told him that it doesn't say what its made out of.
He then asked me if he could return the rolls if they were open. I said, "You opened all 6 rolls?" He said, Yes. I then told him, "No."
Why would his gardener open all 6? My guess is that he put it all down and then the customer found out its made of plastic. But then, it would be all cut up, and he certainly couldn't think that could be returned, could he?
I really don't know what goes through people's minds.

Amazon sets a bad example sometimes for these things, changing customer expectations.
I bought a threshold ramp to make it easier to get my wheelchair in and out. It wasn't tall enough. Did a return, and Amazon refunded and said to keep the item even tho I said I ordered the wrong thing.
I re-ordered and bought the right one, but now I don't know what to do what the wrong one!

Home Depot is the worst, too. If your plant dies, you can return it for a full refund. No questions asked. Even if it died because you never watered it for weeks. People dig up their plants at the end of the season and return them.
How are small businesses supposed to compete with that?
As to the ramp, there must be a charity or a church that would come pick it up and give it to someone who could use it. A local church by us collects things like that and wheel chairs, etc, to give to people who need them. What about the Kiwanis Club?

Facebook marketplace - FREE! And say where they can pick it up. It will be gone. Or, at the curb or equivalent of wherever you live. Roadside with a FREE sign will get it gone.
At this point in your life, Kar, it is perfectly fine to depend on the kindness of strangers.
Cant get it to roadside? - ask one of those whatever I can do friends/neighbors to do it. And, I don't recommend this sarcastically. Just offer those people who either earnestly or superficially offer to help something concrete to do, and they might surprise you. And if they do one thing, and you sufficiently praise them, they just might do another.

Next Door is another place to offer, but if you have a local group that works with the disabled they would certainly take it. Here we have the Dayle Macintosh center.
Or a small business where it might help customers.
Goodwill or Salvation Army pick up I think.

I don't get enough traffic on my rural road to leave out free stuff and it's against HOA rules too.
There is a Good Health Will store here however - they sell highly discounted medical supplies, perhaps I can drive by and see if they will come out to my car and get it.
