Packed up my taxes and then added Christmas Decs and other stuff from the master closet. Moved some things around so it looks more neat and spacious... It already is spacious but I wanted it to look like there was plenty of room for storage and clothing. Man it was dusty, LOL, so now I am sneezing a bunch.

So I spent a some time using instruments to really clean the little slates on the AC cover. Then I went to put it back up and when I finished that, I stepped down from the step ladder and it promptly fell off. It hit the bowl of kitty water and bowl of kittle kibble, those flew across the room! So now I have pulled out the 2-door cabinet that was under the AC unit, mopped up all the water, and I am letting it dry. Once it drys I will go over and wipe down the wall, etc. I swept the kitchen but the kibbles went all the way over into the kitchen. Then I called my very tall friend, who started the whole AC cleaning, to come over and help me get it back up. She is going to swing by after work. Now I think I get to play some games and watch General Hospital before I start up again. Oh, I did do a Safeway order and I did the dishes too. And I finished up the bedroom box, put some clothes in the top to finish it off.

OH and did you know that the movers can't reuse Wardrobe boxes anymore, they say Covid, so you have to pay $25 for the box and then you own it. Now I thought we had proved that Covid doesn't stay on cardboard but he said that what he has recommended to those who don't want to purchase wardrobe boxes that they use the large black bags (he said he didn't want to call them trash bags) and cut a whole in the bottom for the hangers, then tie up the bottom, LOL. I don't have that much so I will probably just bin them up instead.

Wednesday's Mission http://www.flylady.net/c/fp.php?tzm=420 We got the AC cover back up and it looks great, then finished sweeping the dining room, hallway and kitchen free of kibble, LOL. And got the all the furniture back into place. Today I will work on the final things to get the bedroom in order, changing the sheets, then I can move the bins over the left where they aren't visible. And I am taking out the VCR for the e-waste box, gathering all the kitty toys together in one box so they are easy to hide. Yesterday I got a lot of recycling out to the bins. Took a stroll down memory lane cleaning out excess in my "speeches and awards file", and the original purchase of my home. Just a little bit left to go thru and that project is done. Time for some coffee!!

Got my Safeway receipt, so excited, I am getting the flowers I ordered. I haven't ever ordered them before and I wanted some for "Photo Day", tomorrow for my realtor. Hope they picked me a good bouquet. Plus I got everything else, had to order some Windex and some furniture polish. I thought I had a bunch but was almost out of both! I feel better knowing I will have the products I need. Working on the bedroom, changing the sheets, putting away things that I normally have out but aren't really necessary. Got the comforter out on the porch airing out. And now I am going to go finish the sheets and clean the window as best I can.

Sheets changed, kitty rugs out on the balcony airing, window cleaned, and most of the floors have been swept. Just need to finish off the pile on the floor and get the VCR and tapes out of the armoire.

Ok, the VCR connects to the really heavy TV (it is old) so I couldn't move the armoire to get back there so the VCR is staying until someone else can move it off. But I trashed some of the VCR tapes and put the new ones in the Goodwill box. Got the rugs off the balcony, good thing too because all of a sudden it is hazy, gray getting dark and the wind has come up dramatically.

Yours has got to be the most organized move in history! Good for you - I'll bet that makes settling in at the new place easier too!

LOL, Tntitanfan, it doesn't feel that way and I feel like my house is a mess. Because we have been getting rain I haven't been able to put anything out on the balcony! So it is just stacked in my house. Today is photo day.

Dishes are done, water bottles refilled, stuff stashed. I probably should think of other places to stash things because people will probably open up drawers and shelves. Oh maybe I should put some stuff in the oven, it's a thought. Oh and I cleaned out the hall closet so that is done, not needed for photos but looks good for the open house.

Ok, that was an experience. We shoved every extra box / bin / thing, into the living room and they did pictures of the kitchen / dining room / bedroom and balcony. I thought it was interesting that she took everything off the island and put it on the dining room table and kitty feeding station. I am leaving it the way she set it up but put back a couple of the boxes the kitties lay on in front of the slider. Rain isn't over yet so I can't put anything out on the balcony. So on Saturday morning we will move them out onto the balcony so she can then take living room pictures. I suggested getting rid of the bike and another table which she thought was a good idea. So I asked if my friend could take that. Open house is from 1-3 on Saturday and Sunday, so I have to figure out where to disappear to, and I did talk with her about whether to take my laptop and other things. I have a few more tasks to deal with but right now I am hungry so time for lunch.

OMG, just got a call and there is a Broker coming by at 4pm. She said she needs a place for her parents coming from the Ukraine. That would be perfect! And would eliminate all the other crap with the open houses etc.

Well the listing just went up. I was thinking about the broker who came by and while this would be a great unit I am not sure it is good for older parents -- stairs and all.

That is the way real estate goes these days, Dipo. You might sell it 5 minutes after you listed it but before it goes on MLS. You might hold the Open House AFTER you have already accepted an offer. You might have a bidding war. It is just crazy.

At my condo building, of all the units put up for sale in the past month (8) sold very quickly. And, I’m in Portland proper where everyone says is horrible. Most units that i knew where going on the market, never made it past the group email saying they were selling. The market is crazy here too, considering the bad press the city gets.

Don't forget to take ALL medications with you when you leave for the viewings and open house showings.

Friday's Mission http://www.flylady.net/c/fp.php?tzm=420 Made hummingbird food, cleaned and refilled the feeder. Got the tape scraped off the mirror piece that keeps falling down, and I scraped the medicine cabinet as well. I have some alien tape that I hope will hold it in place. Also have received an offer, it is low, and I need to read the email and then figure out some numbers. It appeals because I would then be done but I think it is too low, at first. I might be okay once I run some numbers and think it thru, pros and cons. For now I am having some lunch and doing other things while my brain works in the background on what I think of the offer, LOL. Last night my friend took away my stationary bike so that the living room would be more open for the open house. It is amazing how much room it took up, but I hardly ever use the living room.

Seriously Sugar, I need to take my blood pressure meds? I hadn't even thought of gathering all the prescription bottles I have stashed around. Just took down the fan in the living room, swept the floor and moved the kitty tower over to the other corner. So we are set for the open house.... except I have made a counter offer for the sale. If they accept then we can forgo the open houses, but I do like my house this way, LOL, except I don't have my bike. It's really not that different except I never thought of not having my kitty tree in front of the slider.

When we sold my dad’s house, we had an offer before the open house. Our realtor said that it was good practice to hold the open house anyway. The people who made the offer came in during the open house and changed their offer to full price after. Since we had no other offers, which they did not know, we accepted their increased offer price. This was a number of years ago, but I suspect the open house is still a good idea.

Okay ... SOLD ... Actually we are cancelling the open house. The person I sold to is a realtor in the same office as mine and has been searching for a place for her husbands parents who evacuated from Ukraine. I studied the comps, and we were really listed too high. And with interest rates increasing the market it changing here. So we seem to have come to a mutually agreeable price and are moving forward to getting it closed and me moving out. And I have been nervous about people coming into the house and taking things or bringing covid germs so this works out well.

Saturday's Mission http://www.flylady.net/c/fp.php?tzm=420 Did the dishes and neatened up the kitchen a bit. The new owners want to stop by and take pictures to show hubs parents where they are moving too. Husband was quite tall and handsome, LOL. Now I am going to take my coffee back to bed, read the paper, play computer games and watch this crazy "Charlie's Angels" movie. I can't believe we are supposed to believe they can do some of the stunts for real, hahahahaha. Oh, and school is back in session. It has been quiet for a week and a half for spring break but today we are having a 10th year Alumni Lacrosse event.
