Somehow I missed the liquid amber spraying yesterday, they must have come at the crack of dawn or ... they don't realize there is one tree over here at my house all by itself. Anyway, they say they sprayed so I just grabbed the birdbath and cleaned it, then refilled it.
I know they say it is not harmful to the critters, but they are spraying chemicals so I wanted to clean it after they sprayed.
Yesterday I got in touch with the "Place for Mom" people and they have only one recommendation for me. Up in Clayton, the gal tried to tell me it is only 5 minutes away, hahahahaha. I have gone up there for dinner and it takes 20-30 minutes to get there.
Anyway it was very helpful and now I only have a couple of other things to research and then I will do some tours and make a decision. I have continued to pack and am no in search of somewhere to sell my antique wine and water goblets.
Off to do some research and clear my email and twitter.

Email is done and I found another apartment that I am interested in, not a retirement home but would fit all the other things I want.
I got the dishes done while I waited for my lunch to heat up and now I think I will google selling my glassware.
Oh and I am trying to finish up my free hour on my game.

Spent a lot of time researching apartments, eliminated a bunch. It is so annoying to find the perfect place and then go check the reviews and find out there is rampant crime or bad maintenance. I mean it is definitely good to know those things before making a move but it is so sad when the apartment / location is perfect.
I do have 2 apartments and the one senior place to visit and then I think I can make a decision. So I need to get packing.
Got my coffee brewing and working on clearing out email and twitter.

Cleaned out kitty boxes and gathered all my trash to take down to the bins. Going out for lunch today so I can make a run when I leave.

Had a great lunch. Before I left I ran down 4 bags of trash, well really just 2 bags 2 bags of kitty poop, LOL. Anyway, then I corrected the meeting notice for next Wednesday, that reminds me I should check my HOA email, and grabbed the mail.
Also have been working on my list of questions for the senior living place so I can make sure I understand what I get for my money.
Now back to get working on my list.

Very nice out today so I am going to take a run at the Senior Places even tho I didn't manage an appointment. I am not sure the offices are open on the weekends. Anyway it is so pretty out a nice drive and some lunch will be fun.
Already made some hummingbird food and I am headed to grab the feeder so I can clean it and rehang it. Also doing the dishes so I can have room to clean the feeder, LOL.
Cleared my HOA email and paid some HOA bills, still need to review my board package.
Off to get the kitchen cleaned and the hummers fed.

There is a big Beer Festival going on down at Todo Santos Plaza! And we went over to see the Sr Place I am interested in and it is in a good neighborhood but also close to some things you could walk to (except that won't be me unless I get a scooter, LOL). It really is a fully contained place to live with all the amenities needed to be happy.
We went there because I needed to get a sense of how the buildings are laid out so I could pick a location that has a good s/w exposure but I couldn't tell from the online maps.
Anyway I am home now and we went and had hotdogs! They were great, haven't had a hotdog in forever.
I did get the hummingbird feeder bleached, refilled and rehung. Also did the dishes.
Now to play some computer games, watch some TV and peruse the brochure I picked up. Oh, they had a menu in it and the food looks good. There was an old guy standing in the lobby and my friend asked him if he liked the food and he said it was good most of the time and there was lots of selections, hahahahaha.

I have been shopping Senior communities for several months now. Most of them had "set" menus with a couple of selections available for lunch and dinner. Then almost everywhere has an ala carte menu for those meals with seven or eight sandwiches, five or so salads, and a couple of selections like chicken tenders or nachos as well. There are usually several selections for breakfast as well - choice of hot cereal, fruit, meat, eggs prepared several ways as well as days for French toast or waffles or pancakes.

Sunday!!! A day of relaxation.
TNT, I have been wondering how your search was going and I have been jealous of how many places you have to choose from. So far I only have 2 that are in my price range.... sure there are a ton if you want to pay $5000 per month.
I was looking at the brochure and cracked up to see they have a scheduled trip to the casino, amoung the other trips to Safeway, Trader Joes, the doctor, hahahahaha.
They did include a menu that shows soup/salad and a choice of 2 entrees for dinner. Looks like Breakfast is continental but it does say what exactly that includes and then on Sundays just a brunch.
So I really like it but think I should look at the other place as well, even tho it feels like going to the country, so I have a comparison.
Now I am just enjoying my coffee, some computer games and the Sunday paper.

My top price is $3,500. There are a good few that fit within that! $5,000 is the bottom price of ASSISTED living which is a lot more physical care!

Getting started, enjoying the rainy day! I do have some soup in the fridge so lunch is covered, LOL.
Got the coffee brewing, the paper didn't get delivered so I am hoping for a redelivery. So far that hasn't happened, so bummed.
Many chores to accomplish today and I have a Tour appointment tomorrow. Need to get packing.
Off to grab the coffee and clear my email.

Go my delivery put away, then balanced my checkbook, paid some bills. Went to my other bank to balance and my password doesn't work so I have to call in order to reset the password ... can't deal with it now so moving on to some other task.

Packed up a box of glassware from my hutch. I have decided I only need to keep 2 of each size wine glasses / martini glasses, not the 8 of each that I seem to have accumulated, LOL.
I need to figure out how/who to contact about selling my house. I would love to sell to one of those we buy it, no repairs, etc. Cash on the barrel if they would give me a good price but I am not sure how that works.
Just want to be done with this project!

Dipo, a good realtor should be able to accomplish selling your condo AS IS without a lot of hassle, fanfare, or angst. You could go on nextdoor.com and ask for recommendations for a good realtor specifically to sell a condo that might need some remodeling. It has been my experience from living in an over 55 condo community for over five years that a LOT of people have a fair amount of remodeling done before they ever move in. I just get a kind of hinky feeling about those we will buy your place people, even though I have never dealt with one.

Yeah Juju, I know that feeling I get it as well. I think I will go and check to see if the public records show who the realtor was for the last few units that have sold here, that might work.
I got a paper today!!!! I was so lost yesterday without one, I tried reading the online version and ended up printing the crossword and tv guide parts.
Today I have to call and get my other bank account reopened after the password failure. Hmmm, that raises another question for my new housing, what about banking. I will have to see whether my bank is close and whether they take their bus to it. I have a list of questions for my visit today. And I am hoping to hear from the place in Pleasant Hill so I can compare pricing.
Anyway, now I need to go and feed the kitties and read the paper.

I was pleasantly surprised that I quickly got thru to the bank and after a multitude of questions because I didn't know my account number I was granted access. Did my bill paying and looked for the account number.
After everything was done then it occurred to me, my account number is on the checks, that I never use, so I wrote it down with my password so I will have it in the future.
Also when I balanced my main account I finally figured out where the extra $200 came from. My sister. Since I put her on my accounts we always joke that I don't want her to steal my money. So far there have been a couple of fun things. She made a payment on her Credit Card from my account, it was only $35. Well she moved $200 into my checking account (to pay for her tags). So I tried to send it back but I no longer have her account number, so she will have to transfer.
I did get my email and twitter cleared out and now I am gathering all the things I want to take to my appointment. I already scheduled a Lyft pickup so that is done.

Back from my visit. I want to move NOW, LOL. Although I will be one of the youngest there, I asked what the average age was and she said most were late 70's or early 80's. That doesn't phase me, she also pointed out the "most popular bachelor", hahahahaha. He happened to be sitting in the dining area when we left on our tour.
The units are nice size, and the amenities are great. So now I just need to sell this place, get rid of all the stuff I don't need/want anymore and pack.
OH and my lyft driver got out of the car and came around and opened my door for me to let me out! I was so surprised and it was nice.

Today is board meeting day so I need to review my package and make a list of all the things we need to get set up and working.
Also plan to do some more packing but first I have to clear out my gmail account. There is an email in there I want, I didn't realize that "Everything but the House" used my gmail address and I have some stuff I am hoping they and auction off for me.
Off to start my coffee and maybe do the dishes at the same time.

Got my coffee, dishes are done and all the recycling has been gathered and put into the giant bag to take down to the bins. I opened up the hutch doors and drawer so the kitties have been investigating.
Now I am off to gmail, lets see how many emails are in there, I haven't ever opened it since I was required by someone, probably google, to set it up.

Ok there were 922 emails in that account, I had a time trying to get to where I could sign in to my existing account. The links kept trying to get me to set up an account and I am like NO, I already have one. So now I have a bookmark on my bar next to my mail email. I swear I hate having more than one email account to keep clear!
Anyway, so disappointing, the one email I was looking for was not there. So I guess I start over with that task. I just want to find a good home for my beautiful antique water and wine goblets.
And the crow came back for another drink!!!!

So I got a hold of Starbucks and let them know I can't find my card and they are sending me a new one.
Then I went and reviewed the HOA email and board packet, sent out a couple of emails and tracked down some info for the meeting tonight.
