RN, I may have to move to Canada. Not for the health care that is said to be excellent but for the Maple Leaf Cookie. Yes, the simple and extremely delicious Maple Leaf Cookie. I have been quite interested in trying this cookie after seeing it on The Great Canadian Baking Show. Mameblanche offered to send me some from Canadian as she is a sweet, kind person but I didn't want to trouble her. Cinnamongirl sent me a link to a recipe, very kind of her. Today while meandering down the cookie aisle in my local HyVee grocery store telling myself, no, I didn't need a cookie, what do I spy but a box of Maple Leaf Cookies! Huzzah! These cookies are even tastier than I imagined. If only Canada wasn't so cold.

RN, the Maple Leaf Cookies have been in my house for about 5 hours. There may be about half a box left. Or less than half a box. I shared a some (a few) with my husband. I think HyVee is still open for another hour. It is about 10 degrees, likely less with wind chill. More cookies are wanted. I may become a Maple Leaf Cookieholic. Are there support groups? No, I am not venturing out into the very cold Kansas night to buy more cookies. I am not. I can buy some another day.

Thanks Mame, you are correct, the flavor is delicious. My favorite donut is one with maple frosting. These cookies are certainly going to be added to the list of favorite cookies.

RN, Believe it or not, I almost posted that Maple glazed donuts are my fave, but ironically, hard to find around here lately.

RN, I would like a maple donut, maybe even the extra fancy one with bacon, and another box of Maple Leaf Cookies. There are still the same number of cookies left from yesterday. I managed to refrain from eating them all in an unladylike cookie frenzy. That I am currently dressed in old oversized sweats (I have lost a great of weight in the last year) and am sans bra are part in f my master plan keep me from going to the store where the tasty donuts and Maple Leaf Cookies are.

Baby guppies.. they are quite prolific. Many are born, some survive, others are eaten..

RN Yep, and since I only found 3 of them, I'm sure the frogs ate their share during the night before I noticed the babies in the morning. Which is fine by me. I don't want to have to get a bigger tank. I am having so much fun with this aquarium. I haven't had one since I was a kid.

RN, I have visitors. I went outside to take some pics, but two of them started fighting, so I retreated. They can pop over those fences like they are nothing! There were about 8 total.

Elk! One of them had a missing antler. There are more photos and a video on my Facebook page.

OMGosh! It's like an episode of a nature program. You are so lucky. This urban chick cannot wrap her brain around amazing 'visitors' like this in your backyard. Most we get are squirrels by day, and raccons by night. Lol

Where I used to work, we had a herd of deer with fawns every year. They were beautiful. So nice to see nature.
