Got out the deviled egg tray, it only holds 6 eggs so I have those starting to boil.
Then I went to put away the fan (can't believe I still have it out) and noticed it was sort of dusty so I grabbed the duster and cleaned it. I didn't realize there was a bunch of hair on the surrounding grate thing, managed to get that all out and I put it away in the master closet.
AND NOW.... the vacuum is plugged into the wall, LOL, so that is next.

Got the coffee going, grabbed the paper, and now time to go back to the bedroom and enjoy the morning.

Starting my roast, peeling the potatoes, and enjoying a movie while I cook.
My sister is sick!!!! so no Christmas tomorrow, and I was so Happy, LOL, I don't have to rush the rest of my chores -- vacuuming the living room -- and can just enjoy the day. So we have postponed to next Sunday.
I may do the vacuuming but there is no rush now.
Off to the kitchen to get stuff cooking.

Merry Christmas! We had a very nice day. Not only did Kota and her bf come, but Caleb managed to make it as well. Last I heard last night his gf was coming too, but this morning she wasn't feeling well so stayed home. Once I heard why she wasn't coming, I sent her a text that we would plan something for when she's feeling better next week.
Kota and her bf were going to his parents for dinner and Caleb had to work, so we had a very scaled down Christmas dinner.
Heh, and I planned to stay in my jammies all day since we weren't going anywhere and only the kids were coming over and I managed to do it!

Sunday's Mission -- Relax after a busy Christmas!!
Was going to make my roast but since sister isn't coming today I am doing it now. I have the roast out on the counter to come to room temp and I have my recipe so it should be a lovely Sunday Dinner.
Going to grab my coffee and the Sunday paper and enjoy the movie ... WARGAMES. Haven't seen this one in a very long time, Matthew Broderick is so young, LOL.

Checked the HOA email, nothing happening and they closed their offices down from the 23rd thru the 28th, so we are good for a few more days.

So many things to do, got the coffee made, showered and got my hair "did", LOL. Now I will grab the coffee and paper and figure out what I want to get done today.
I do need to figure out some finances, clean up the kitchen and do some vacuuming. So maybe I will just start with the paper.

Things are not going in the order I had planned but I have swept the bedroom floor after taking the comforter out to shake on the front porch. It's out there airing, and I did change the sheets. Plus I put away a few things that had piled up in the office.
Then I went to make some lunch and ended up washing all the dishes. All done except for the roast pan that is soaking.
I also balanced my checkbook and scheduled some bills to be paid next week.
Now a little break for lunch.

Didn't get much more done yesterday, cleaned out the fridge a bit.
Need to take out the trash during the next rain break, LOL. Hope to get the bike in today and finish off the vacuuming.
Right now I am working on email and having some coffee.

Ran the trash down, now I don't have to go outside again until Friday when I plan to do my laundry ... if it is sunny like the forecast has indicated.

Email done and I forgot to mention I got all my stuff transferred from my 2021 wall calendar to the 2022 one, so now 2021 is in the Tax pile so I can get that started.

Kitchen done, kitchen rug and hallway rug are done. Now I just need to use the wand thingie to vac up litter in the bathroom and then we will be done. But my back was hurting so I am taking a little break.
So glad to have most of the house done!!! I am always amazed how much kitty hair I get, LOL.

Just did my Safeway order for the New Year, decided since I was staying in ... for the forseeable future, I wanted a Pomegranate Martini, LOL. So I looked up the recipe and ordered the booze. Also want a couple of appetizers so I ordered those as well. It's all coming tomorrow between 1 and 5.
Now I need to work on the rest of my list... Guess I will check the HOA email and then ride my bike.

Got thru my email and rode my bike... I have been noticing that my legs aren't as strong so I need to get this back into my normal routine. Plus I find that I have a lot more energy when I ride.
Listening to my DayDrinking podcast and off to check HOA email.

WOW, HOA has already closed down for New Years! I am shocked, they were closed from the 23 thru the 28th, open on the 29th, and now they are already closed again. So there was nothing to deal with even tho I was expecting a couple of things to be there.
Now I am getting ready for a dinner date at 5pm!!! My friend said she is needing some Chinese and we want to get it before the New Years stuff happens so we are going early tonight, LOL.
Now I am off to make a couple of donations and then update a document for the HOA>

Ended up getting ready and then playing computer games. Have my coffee brewing, already read the paper and now I need to do those donations to Monument Crisis Center and PBS (I realized I have been watching a lot of PBS so I need to support them).
Waiting for my Safeway delivery, and my New Years Eve Pomegranate Martini's, LOL.
Off to grab my coffee, deal with twitter and get those donations done.

Hahahaha, my vodka has arrived and the cute little Safeway "girl", carded me, hahahahaha. And she was serious, she wrote everything down on the receipt.
Plus as I suspected, my doorbell needs new batteries. I had noticed it was sounding fainter and I asked her if she rang the bell, because she knocked, and she said yes. So off to replace the batteries. Done
AND, those Grey Goose bottles really are pretty!
