I just finished The Husband's Secret by Liane Moriarty in 2 days. It was really good, too.

I though I had already posted that I read another Liane Moriarty book, Big Little Lies. Actually it was a re-read. I read it about a year ago. I didn't remember it. Not a good sign for my memory, huh? It was good. I tried to see if I could watch the tv show, but no. I would have to be a HBO subscriber. Too bad. I read young Sheldon played Ziggy. Would be interesting.

So did we! We also liked the audio of Long Journey to a Small Angry Planet - similar vibes, though much wider cast of characters.

Finished another Dollar General book. It was a murder mystery set in the world of dressage, which I knew nothing about. It has to do with horses is about all I know. It was pretty good. Oh,

Mother Daughter Murder Night by Nina Simon was a very entertaining mystery. It was Reese's book club selection for September. I didn't figure out the killer which is always a plus and the family dynamics were really fun and touching.

I just got my notice that a copy of Mother Daughter Murder Night is waiting for me so good to hear that you liked it Mamie..

The last two books I've read were part of a series by Jenny Colgan based on Little Beach Street Bakery. I've started the third in the series but it's getting a bit tedious. Overall it's a sweet series about a woman in her early thirties who loses everything from her long time boyfriend to their shared business to their condo. She heads off to a small village on the coast of Cornwall to heal and ends up finding a new life. Definitely not a serious book and so unrealistic in so many ways but I needed a break from life and it provided one.

Finally finished "Spare" by Prince Harry. It was good, but too long.

I agree about Spare. It was so long but I really felt for him.

Finished a Dollar General book, "The Bones of You" by Debbie Howells. It was a murder mystery with a twist at the end. It was pretty good. I guess I will borrow an ebook from the library next. I've been getting emails that I still have borrows left.

I am reading John Stamos' book and really enjoying it. I always say I should do audio for these memoirs and never do. I am sure it is great with him reading it. Have mercy!

Started reading a different ebook at first then it said I needed to verify my card and wouldn't let me borrow the book until I called and got the library to verify my card. The librarian said she didn't know why that happened. So I read "People We Meet On Vacation" by Emily Henry. It was okay. I don't think I really understood it. This woman thought she was in love with her best friend. Took forever to act on it.

Catching up - since Sept. 4 I've finished the following:

Kindle: Solito, Extraordinary People (Peter May), Delilah Green Doesn't Care (Ashley Herring Blake), Mermaids Singing (Val McDermid), Things You Save in a Fire (Katherine Center), The Lesbiana's Guide to Catholic School (Sonora Reyes), Still Life (Val McDermid), A Silent Death (Peter May)

Audio: Unprotected: A Memoir (Billy Porter), Weyward (Emilia Hart), Spare (Prince Harry), Homegoing (Yaa Gyasi), Making It So (Sir Patrick Stewart)

Out of all them, the only one that I had parts I didn't like was Spare. Prince Harry came across as extremely entitled in spots, and I never need to hear another soldier story, thanks.

Current audiobook: Clanlands New Zealand (Sam Heughan & Graham McTavish)

Current Kindle: Melissa (Alex Gino) and Grave Reservations (Cherie Priest)

Current deadtree: So Late in the Day (Claire Keegan)

I finished a few while on vacation. I read Henry Winkler's memoir. I enjoyed learning more about him. Love him.

I read Thieves Gambit by Kayvion Lewis. It is a YA book about a contest for thieves and I have to say it may be one of my favorite books this year.

I finished "Lilac Girls" by Martha Hall Kelly. It was really good, based on true events during World War II.

And I finished that ebook I started a couple of weeks ago that they wouldn't let me finish till they verified my library card was still good. The Summer Place by Jennifer Weiner. It was good. Then I started a preview of another book by her called The Breakaway. I went back to borrow it and it said it was already taken. Seems that happens a lot. I think they get their wires crossed because I'm the one that's taken it.

Not catching up totally but just dropping by to say I just finished The Rose Code by Kate Quinn and it was FANTASTIC!!! It's about the British codebreakers in WWII and focuses on 3 women - who are all based on real life people (one who even dated Prince Philip!)

I finished "The Southern Book Club's Guide to Slaying Vampires" by Grady Hendrix. I thought it would be a light-hearted read but it got serious fast. Not to be read if you are squeamish.
