Here is a place to list any e-books you have and are willing to lend to fellow TVCHers.

I don't think that the KOBO will let us lend books at this point. Other than that, the KOBO is a great relatively open system.

I thought I heard that we could. So I've asked on the KOBO page at FB.

I'd look at your KOBO store (or the store for KOBO books.. at least for Amazon, IF the book is lendable, it will be noted in the description. This is at the discretion of the publisher.

Out of Time by Deborah Truscott is lendable to someone with a kindle or (I assume) the Kindle app. I liked it very much and she is writing a sequel, too. A Thousand Voices by Jen Parker also lendable.. memoir by a teacher who befriended a deaf boy and stayed involved in his life (she wasn't his teacher, actually, but was a teacher).

My Name is Not Easy Young adult fiction but very good about Alaskan children sent to Catholic boarding schools in 1950s. Excellent read! The Color Purple Classic novel from Alice Walker Armageddon: A Novel of Berlin by Leon Uris - close look at Berlin in World War II.

Does anyone have Diana Gabaldons books that are lendable?

I have all her books, Escapee, but they are not lending enabled. Sorry. However, our digital library offerings online (Overdrive) through our local library had all her books for both Kindle and audio. If you have that available, it's a simple process to borrow a book.

I have all of her books also and want to reread them, however I wanted to do so on my kindle. I'm on waiting lists at the library.

I think I have one that was a freebie long ago, but the lending capability wasn't implemented at that time for Kindle. Looks like none of her books on Kindle have lending enabled.

Overdrive is for Kindle books, Escapee - or do you mean you're on the library waiting list for the e-book? (Sorry - too tired to be coherent tonight. )

Must've been a one day deal because when I logged in, it's at 2.99. Still - a much better price than so many others! I snagged 11/22/63 on an earlier deal (I'm thinking under $3) and I am LOVING it! I've never read King's scary stuff, but this is just fantastic! I've yet to read his Shawshank Redemption/Green Mile stuff - not enough hours - but this one intrigued me from the get-to. I was thrilled to see the sale price so I could actually read it! Now, I want a couple of snow days so I can finish it before hitting the school papers again.

I think it was.. now it is just free for Prime Members.. that happens pretty often.. a book is free, people post about that and then it flips to free for Prime. Good snag on 11.22.63.. I saw that the other day and awhile back Under the Dome was cheap.. but I had pre-ordered each of those before they even were published, so no savings for me (well, I hope for some rebate when the lawsuit is settled.. supposedly Amazon will be doing that).

I've got the prime account, but I think I have another book "checked" out, so I'll put it on my wish list and get it once I've read the other one. (I'm thinking it's Last Night at the Ritz - which was recommended here as well. )

I wish you could get library cards online to check out e-books. My local library is so small and has very few lendable books. However, the Sacramento Library has EVERY title I could want! But, you have to go down there to get a card first.
