Roger Ebert just tweeted this. I have to agree with him: ebertchicago Roger Ebert If Bruce Vilanch is within 50 miles of the Kodak Pavilion, they should helicopter his ass in there and put him to work rewriting this dreck.

Roger hit the nail on the head! Bruce always had quick witty repartee. I completely forgot that he wasn't writing this year!

Ok making the films into musicals is very annoying.

I plan to be very annoyed when Gwyneth Paltrow sings. With her orange skin and white hair.

I thought Gwyneth's dress was one of the best tonight.

Billy Crystal and Anne Hathaway together, now that would be a neat combination!

It is torture seeing how wonderful Billy Crystal and Bob Hope were as hosts and being stuck with Franco and Hathaway for the rest of this show. Particularly Franco.

Franco has totally bombed. No chemistry at all.

Inception and the Social Network seem to be leaving the King`s Speech in the dust.

Sorry to Ebert, but the talentless Bruce Villanche DID write this show. Like he always does

Jennifer looks like a trillion bucks. Randy Newman was hilarious. Glad he won.

OK, it seems I am in the minority. I like Franco and Hathaway as hosts. I think they are both good-natured and charming and respectful of their role, and I am enjoying watching them. Liked Jude Law and Robert Downey Jr. together... I adore RDJ....he could read the phone book and I would enjoy it. I am disappointed Geoffrey Rush didn't win....I loved his performance in King's Speech.

If they wanted to appeal to a younger demographic, they should have partnered Anne with Justin Timberlake or that Russell guy who was on earlier. Or at least someone with a pulse. James will have a hellava time living this down.

I have been spending the Oscars crying my eyes out. 2 years ago Tan and I were watching the Awards from a Disney resort motel. She is happy now that Randy Newman won his second Oscar. He had been nominated for about 15-17 before his first win. My best wishes to all of you! Twinkie's hubby
