All the subplots sewn up too easily in one episode. Over the years Karev is either dependable or a rat.

Sometimes, I think Bailey doesn't like the relationship that the Chief has with Meredith. She is used to being his number 1 and doesn't like to share. It's not like Bailey hasn't done questionable things over the years too.

I changed Derek's nickname last night. Dr. Mcdicky.

But, would Dr. McAsshat be better?

So has The Chief been fired or did the board just give him a lesser role in the hospital. And if he is fired, will he not have a role on Greys Anatomy anymore? I still want to see Baily and The Chief get together. Also did "Adell" win the Emmy for her role?

Lake, we don't know yet about the Chief. Loretta Devine did win an Outstanding Guest Actress Emmy for Grey's.

Debbie Allen — who is currently directing an out-of-the-box episode of Grey's Anatomy that finds the Seattle Grace docs facing off against other hospitals on the baseball field — pops up onscreen in the October 13 episode as Dr. Catherine Avery, the mother of Jackson (Jesse Williams). http://www.tvguide.com/News/Greys-Anatomy-Debbie-Allen-1038172.aspx

I think that's a perfect pairing of mother/son.

So over this show. I could take it or leave it at this point. The writers make it seem as if everyone of these characters are bi-polar! It drives me nuts that after this many seasons, these people havent found their "niche"

Shonda promised us a few years ago that the on-again, off-again storyline with Mer & Der was over. She lied. I'm with Myalibi...it's getting old. I'm still watching and still love it, but they should be stabilized by now.

Another good show, imo. If I was Mere, I would have slapped Derek during the surgery. lol At the end, he seemed better. What the heck with Bailey? She's such a snot! Her love triangle coming up should get interesting....

I watched the first 2 episodes and was overwhelmed with the heaviness of this show. I know it isn't a comedy but geez everyone is such a mess and the whole Mer and Der fiasco is sooooo boring.

Bailey is so pissed because Webber promised her he was grooming her for Chief. She gave up taking an easier way of doing peds which might have saved her marriage cause her schedule would have been lighter.

Being Chief is so time consuming, it is a good thing that Christina won't have kids. No complaining that you missed Susie's piano recital, etc.

Kellee, actually it is the opposite. The Peds Fellowship would have taken more of her time. I guess I just don't like her attitude right now. She was rude about Meredith, then rude about Owen.

My heart kind of broke for Owen playing with Mark's baby. Hope Derek lightens up soon...isn't it funny that he misses Meredith so much in the operating room (and on a side note, can Avery get much better looking?). I suspect he will be begging her to return soon.

Yeah, Derek is still being Dr. McAsshat. Lots of funny lines last night: "My guess, which one gets to take you to prom," and "Get into the car, Avery." lol Debbie Allen next week.

I loved last night's show. They should have more of the men. I loved watching their perspectives. And no, I don't think Avery could get any better looking because he is already way too good looking for my own good. He makes me feel very Mrs. Robinson-ish.

Great show last night. I really enjoyed seeing things from the men's view - and who can complain about all these good lookin' men! So clever having them work on the deck to get out frustration - loved how they worked that story line. This show seems to be getting better. Looks like Shonda Rimes isn't as involved any more since all it says at the beginning is created by Shonda. Does anyone know is this is true? I must repeat - man there are a lot of good lookin' men on this show!

Another funny thing was the bit with the panties between Avery and Karev.
