I watched it. Very timely. I thought I had it set to record, but somehow I mucked it up.

I love Gilded Age even though it seems like it has been a couple of years since the last season aired. I think the new season starts later this month.

Yes, I've watched Gilded Age. I'm looking forward to the new season. Love these historical type shows.

Does this ever happen to anyone else?

You're watching a based on real life crime/murder from years ago tv show, and one of the characters you've never heard of is so horrible, that you are looking forward to their on-screen demise.

BUT, you can't wait, so you google how they died. Ends up they lived to a ripe old age and passed of natural causes.

"Does this ever happen to anyone else?"

I finally watched all 4 seasons of "Turn" and two characters I was hoping would die well deserved grisly deaths ended up exactly like your post...years later and from natural causes, pleurisy and pneumonia.

So disappointing. lol

Does anyone have any recommendations for a show that’s similar to Why Women Kill? (They shouldn’t have named it that. It’s misleading and some people, like me, may not have given it a chance thinking it was much more murder driven than it actually is. I mean yes, murder is definitely part of the storylines, but it’s way more layered (and even delicious) than just a regular murder storyline.
If you haven’t seen it, I highly recommend. Paramount Plus.

Has anyone been a Nielsen household recently? We were when I was a kid and you had the diaries you had to fill out and send in, but not since. How do they do it now with streaming, etc.? They have contacted me and I don’t know if I want to even entertain it until I know more about it. I looked online but didn’t find a lot of info about how they collect the data. It listed more of the what they were collecting rather than HOW. Thanks for any info.

It's all electronic now... they install monitors.

They still use paper diaries at times or phone surveys during sweeps.

They also collect data from streaming providers.

We were a Nielsen family sometime in the 2000s. For us it was done 100% electronically through my cable line. But with all the streaming services now, I can't even imagine how complicated it is.

I was a Nielsen family in the late 90's early 2000's. It was fun and didn't impact me a bit, they just hooked up monitoring devices to my TV/Cable and pulled the data at 3am every day. Although I was very careful not to ever land on certain channels, LOL.

They tried hard to recruit me. Yes, it's all digital monitoring, so captures your streaming as well. I said "no thanks". An old co-worker let them hook her up, and she says she doesn't notice. But I just didn't want anything that might interfere with my set up or slow things down. I also work from home and I didn't want anything on my internet.

I just noticed something in my Walmart+ account. Now, instead of just giving you free Paramount+, you have the choice between Peacock or Paramount+. That's pretty cool.

Peacock is generally NBC shows (although they did buy CBS's 2.5 Men)
Paramount+ is CBS

And they both have movies and their own original shows.

I choose Paramount+ because Peacock already comes free with comcast/xfinity.

Peacock is the worst of the streaming sites. The only thing worth watching on Peacock is the Traitors series. If it wasn't for Traitors, I would cancel it. Right now I have it where I only pay $1 a month until Traitors comes back

I love Peacock. Their selection of Movies and recent and classic tv is awesome.

"The Paper" (The Office spinoff) and "Pokerface" are 2 of their original shows I am watching now. They are so good.

It’s difficult because every streaming service has original content that is enticing. Services like AppleTV I cancel until a new season starts. (Like the morning show starting this week) . Some I wait until a season has finished and binge. Other sites I just keep subscribing to because there never is a break in the content. - and I need that noise of storytelling in the background virtually all day.
