SUGAR, these aren't comedies, but they are gentle shows, with humour in them...
Murdock Mysteries is a hugely popular Canadian show. Most of my friends are addicted including my late dh. On CBC and Acorn TV among others.
WHEN CALLS THE HEART is a wonderful Canadian show on the Hallmark Channel. I absolutely love binging it.
You can usually find me binging British-type shows on PBS, Acorn, and I just added Britbox this week. This week's bingefest is Hope Street an Irish show on britbox.ca

Yep, the I think the first one was a repeat, then there was a new one and then the one at ten said it was a 2 hour show, but it's ending after one hour so probably a to-be-continued.

No, it was 2. The first was a repeat, and tho it said 2-hour season finale, there were 2 new 1-hour shows after that.
And the third one was a shocker, at least to me.

Whoa, I am coming here late, posting so it will show up in new messages tomorrow, because I have like 457 balls in the air in my old age and have TWO upcoming major international trips and am in South Padre Island, TX for the winter, but leaving Jan. 30 to go back home, and... and ... we're not in Kansas anymore, Toto, and I only watch television a couple hours a day to shut my brain off.
Where was I? Oh, thanks, Dipo and others. What would I do without you?

I just learned the most random thing about classic tv.
Did you know that in real life, the actor that played George Jefferson (Sherman Hemsley) was 21 years younger than his tv wife Louise Jefferson (Isabel Sanford)? That about blew my mind.
