In case anybody doesn't know, CBS All Access is being renamed to "Paramount+" on March 4.

I'm not happy. Our Smart TV was manufactured in 2016, so it is not compatible with Paramount+. We only use CBS All Access to watch our CBS shows without commercials. I canceled our subscription, since we can't use it after March 4th and I'm not going to buy another device just so I can watch it. Ugh.

Bjm, Paramount+ is just a name change from CBS All Access. Why wouldn't it work? I have CBS AA which I watch through an Amazon Fire TV on an old Sony Bravia flat screen TV. Not expecting any problems.

It depends on whether the device manufacturer is willing to continue to update the device.

Colordeagua, from what I understand, you need the Paramount+ app, which my Samsung TV doesn't offer. The past few days when I signed in on my TV, there would be a message that said that CBSAA would no longer be available beginning March 4th and that my TV does not support the app, but I could still access Paramount+ on [list of devices that I don't wish to purchase]. Bummer. We didn't have CBS AA to start with either, but Samsung later added it. Maybe they'll get around to adding a Paramount+ app eventually.

You could cast Paramount + to your TV using ChromeCast. Pretty sure.

Cass_Cat, I think the code for 50% off was only good until midnight on March 3rd (yesterday). Bummer. I downloaded Chromecast onto my phone and it looked like they wanted to charge me a yearly fee. Not into that. I'll just live without it for now.

Casscat, the offer ended at midnight March 3, 2021. I got in just under the wire, based on an alert from a friend on another board. I thought Bigdog would like it more than me, and he somehow stumbled through setting it up on his television without me grabbing the keyboard or remote and going click click click, even though I also had no idea what I was doing. Bigdog commented at dinner tonight that he got his $5 worth of benefit today, the first day, in content he loved. I have been enjoying watching episodes of current primetime drama shows with no commercials the past two nights.

Bjm, try calling CBSAA / now P+ about your TV or devices. I've called them in the past. Pretty helpful. 888-274-5243

If anybody has Xfinity X1 box, everything works fine. I said "CBS All Access" into the remote just to see what happens now, and it brought me to the Paramount+ sign in page where I signed in with my CBS name and PW.

LOL... figures I would JUST miss a deadline for a bargin... We have a Chromecast device (looks kinda like a USB) plugged into our smart TV (Vizio)... bought it at WalMart for $30... where ever it's plugged in allows us to "cast" video from our phone/tablet/laptop to the TV.

Very easy for me... when I clicked on Paramount+ in the App Store on my phone it gave me the option to Open, rather than download, and took me straight into what used to be CBS App. Finally tried it on my TV and my CBS App there has changed to Paramount+ which just welcomed me without making me sign in at all. Only problem now is that when I try to watch an episode of Y&R it's telling me "Something went wrong. Please try again."

Colordeagua - That # took me to some therapeutic business. Found the actual # though, it's 888-274-5343. One digit can make a world of difference... LOL On hold with them now.

We just finished season 1 of Why Women Kill and loved it. I didn't realize when I started it that it would be so funny. "Set in multiple time periods, the series depicts the events leading to deaths caused by women." I know that sounds serious, and some of it is, but it's also funny! Be sure to start with season 1. Season 2 only has 4 eps out so far. https://www.paramountplus.com/shows/why-women-kill/

I love "Why Women Kill"! I have recommended it to a several friends that never bothered to check it out. I think maybe the title of the series just makes them think it is something it really isn't. The show is much lighter and more fun than its dark title implies. I read that season 2 ditched the separate time periods format of season 1. I'm waiting until they have aired all the S02 eps so I can binge it.

Sanfranjoshfan....I love "Why Women Kill" too! Here I have been watching it on TV, recording it weekly. I like that they aren't going to different timelines and sticking to one. Isn't this the same writer from Desperate Housewives?

The title Why Women Kill put me off. It sounds like one of those true crime shows that goes through the step-by-step of a murder (hubby used to watch a lot of those, till he finally realized they were all kind of the same). Is it a scripted show? We're not into comedies, but if there is some humor that's okay. Would I like it?
